New Nvidia core v1.15 [Part 1]

Well I saw that somebody got a newer version of the ATI core, so I tried and got v1.15 for Nvidia.

Will this help with the shut-down issue?

But what's going on, two new cores on the same day?? I thought 1.13 was the new core, and now there's 1.15? What's the difference between the two?

Yea weird i deleted and thought something was funny when fahmon says 1.15.. what gives ?

It not a new core its just a new revision of the existing Nvidia core_11 (v1.13) did seem to make several changes I have not had a chance to try the new (v1.15) core yet.

Core 11 v1.13 was replaced w/ v1.15 earlier today. The new version fixes the problem w/ the 'INTERRUPTED' signal being sent instead of the 'UNSTABLE_MACHINE' signal, if there is a problem w/ the simulation. A similar fix was included in a new ATI Core_11 that was also released earlier today.

I dont know if this is because of nv fahcore 1.15 but after it downloaded my PPD varies alot. From 2300 to 5000 for the same 8800GS cards. Its like its not engaging the shaders properly, it also is seen in the temps on the cards.

The 1.13 had rock solid PPD on the same cards.

Just replaced my 1.09 core with the 1.15 core. It rocks!!! Now getting PPD as high as 5740 for WU 5506, before I was getting 5182 PPD on my set-up. NICE .

That was a 10% increase in speed or a guaranteed EUE within 10 frames with 1.09.

Yes. It's the only change between 1.13 and 1.15 cores

Looks like updating from 1.09 -> 1.15 gave me nearly a 10% increase in PPD.

I don't see how that's possible IF the ONLY change is the one mentioned above. (fact check in order?)

This rate has held for several hours now, so I don't think it's a miscalc. on fahmon's part.

The increase in PPD was noticable in version 1.13 dated Sep 29/08.

On 5504 I get a maximum of 6098 PPD, definitely more than a 10% increase, very very nice.

Only thing I have noticed is when scrolling this page there is some ghosting of the writing, ie. the black writing moves leaving behind a white ghost of itself

Could this mean that the new core is more responsive to other resources wanting to use the GFX card and hence you will see the PPD varies so much? Anybody investigate this further?
