Thanks. That's what I thought. I suspect that non-blocking writes trigger a quirk in the Windows socket's implementation of the Nagle algorithm. (That's geek speak for, "Blame it on Microsoft.")

However, the fahcores do not support that feature very well just yet. It cycles between full power and no power instead of reducing the load by a certain percent.
They are taking steps in the right direction...

There's no priority setting for GPU workloads; GPU processing is strictly a first-in-first-out ordering and the only software that might recognize a conflict would be the drivers (and GPU drivers are a poor substitute for a real OS that could manage the work requests for stream computing resources).
