Cannot extract Windows smp client 5.91 [SOLVED]

Postby MjW » Fri Dec 21, 2007 1:29 am

I have downloaded the file more than 5 time and it always fails to extract saying that it is damaged. What is going on?
I must be doing something wrong.. I had this installed before on the same PC and I remember having issues extracting back then too, I just don't remember what I did and extracted it back then.

This is the message that comes up when I double click to extract:
The data section of this self-extracting file has been damaged.
(CRC Error:Should be:F02E7018,is:BE4BA76E)

The file is an .exe which means it is self extracting. Just double click the file after you down load it and it will extract itself.

Yes. Folding@Home Windows SMP Client

EDIT:
I decided to download again and try to extract on another PC to see if that helps.
So i transfer it in a memory stick and I double click to check if that was the one to avoid mistakes(its like 5a.m.)
and it extracted!!! wtf.

Anyway I guess problem solved somehow.
Folding works in mysterious ways..
