early unit ends all the way since update to 11.11

Hi,
i've got an Ati Radeon HD 4870, been GPU-folding since i got a about 2-3 years ago, never had any issues.. Yesterday i updated the drivers & catalyst to 11.11, ever since i'm having nothing but EUE's.. Is it me or are other people having trouble too?

Which drivers did you have before ?

Can you tell more about the client used and the project that fails ?

We could use a few PRCG to check too ...

I had the 11.9 under Windows 7 x64, don't know if that's specific enough concerning drivers?
Client Version is 6.41r2, now while writing it, it suddenly appears to me this isn't for Ati if i recall correctly? On the other hand, that didn't seem to be any issue until i updated yesterday...
Projects were:
5736 (Run 4, Clone 545, Gen 919)
5732 (Run 4, Clone 570, Gen 927)
5734 (Run 1, Clone 591, Gen 937)
5734 (Run 1, Clone 591, Gen 937)
...
I could keep this list going for a while, as i had a lot of 'dumping' which i stopped as soon as i noticed the problem.. I'd be extremely surprised if it would be a problem on the project side, so i guess it's a problem on mine.. Thing is, i just don't see how or why. Aren't driver updates supposed to improve performance?

Of course i could try to roll back the driver, but in all my stupid perfectionism, i don't see it as a "real" solution as i don't get to find out the source of the problem

Project: 5736 (Run 4, Clone 545, Gen 919) -> Several donors had issues with it so it is marked as a bad WU:

If your GPU is overclocked, please restore them to default settings and try again. Do a clean install of the drivers and try again.

I started having many problems related to drivers with 11.10 ... I even had to remove the CCC to be able to boot windows (with a 5770) ... and OpenCL is not working (with a 6950) ...

Maybe you could try to revert to 11.9 to see if it works again ...

Wonderful, i just reinstalled the "old" drivers => 11.9, due to the fact a reinstall of 11.11 didn't give any positive results...
First WU i'm getting works flawlessly So i guess there's quite a chance the problem is on the Ati-side.. Would it make any sense to tell them? and if so, how would i do it?

Interesting ... keep watching stability with 11.9 and don't hesitate to post any change in behavior.

I'm trying to get in touch with someone at AMD ... I'll post more detail here if I can get some.

Ok thanks ToTow, helpful as always All WU's have been stable so far, as it has been before also.. Even playing games parallel to foldign does not cause any issues

I have had nothing but EUEs with the move to 11.11 on my stock 4670. My FAHlog shows WUs completed perfectly with the previous version 11.10, but the moment I updated the drivers, the current WU ended immediately. All successive WUs have failed in EUEs.

Hamstrings, i would strongly recommend to roll back drivers to 11.10

I rolled back to 11.10 earlier this morning, and my 4670 is crunching WUs again.

I have a 4870 and the same problem. I don't want to roll back. Will there be some fix maybe?
I copied the DLLs from C:\Windows\sysWow64 folder to the GPU data folder, but it EUEs anyway.

Hopefully there ATI will fix it in a future version of their drivers but that's not an issue for FAH to fix.

Follow the link mentioned above. You'll find instructions on how to keep 11.11 for your games but roll-back only the OpenCL Driver.
