Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h client

Forgot to talk abouot a problem I had first with 2.3.99.2 and still with 2.3.99.3:
When I launch FahMon and update the projects list, it fails. (says "Something went wrong")
I redo the update and it then works fine.

TIA!

Best regards,
François

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h client

Thanks!
fahmon.exe is not flagged as malware anymore on Virustotal.com, by the way.

Cheers!

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h client

Just to report that a few AV programs report fahmon.exe as "Gen:Variant.FakeAlert.25". I'm using Immunet Protect Plus, which uses BitDefender's engine in addition to its cloud technology. Also reported by F-Secure and nProtect. Panda reports is as "Suspicious file". (uploaded on ...

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)

Hello again. I'm trying to add the French Canada language. I followed in the instructions, but get the following errors when doing the final make: francois@francois-desktop:~/FahMon-2.3.99.1$ sudo make install Making install in m4 make[1]: entrant dans le répertoire « /home/francois/FahMon-2.3.99.1/...

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)

Update: I was able to find out by myself how to get everything to work properly and have succeeded to compile and install FahMon.
I'm completing a couple of Boinc WUs and will launch F@H and FahMon later today for the first time on the Linux box.

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)

Update: I found out how to install a lot of stuff for compiling things. (sudo apt-get install build-essential) Now the problem seems to be with libcurl. I installed some libcurl stuff, but I don't know what's wrong or could be missing. Any hint to help me? This file contains any messages produced by...

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)

Hi. I'm a total newbie at Linux, which I just installed. (Xubuntu 9.04) I'm trying to compile FahMon, and it fails. Here's the config.log content: This file contains any messages produced by compilers while running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake. It was created by FahMon co...

How about making a sticky post about spam reporting?
There are several different threads about spam, so this should clear up things.

Thanks, and best regards,

Re: Spam from Folders

Maybe PMs could be disabled until a newcomer has some (legit) posts on the forum?
Say PMs are enabled after 25 posts or something.

Unfortunately, it only works with forum posts, not PMs... (there's no Report button on the PM screen)

Re: HFM.NET - Client Monitoring Application for Folding@Home

Nice program, but it takes 44M of Virtual Memory.
So unless it really does more than FahMon, I'm staying with Fahmon instead.
No offense!
