Re: Can't Connect to Assignment Servers, but No Errors?

Hi AnonymABFolder, can you please post the cmd output of

Code: Select all

ping assign1.foldingathome.org
and

Code: Select all

ping 65.254.110.245
You appear to have several typos in your above ping command, which means it is resolving to a completely different webserver

Re: Captcha not working

Unfortunately the captcha image has never been directly clickable as the forum software doesn't support it :( I've altered the text to make it more obvious that you have to copy the link into a new browser window.

We're probably battering the available WS now that the AS is working again.

Re: 171.67.108.200 - Internal Server Error

I think the failover is working (we go from .200 to .204), however the compounding problem here is that the SMP server that clients are normally assigned to has gone into REJECT so most clients don't get any WUs.

Re: 171.67.108.200 - Internal Server Error

It's likely to be a good few hours before anyone at Stanford can do anything given its still 3AM there (although it has been known for servers to be rebooted by researchers int the middle of the night).

Re: 171.67.108.200 - Internal Server Error

Caveat utilitor: You can get work on a Linux box that is currently failing if you configure your slot to request WUs that are currently in beta. HOWEVER unless you are a beta team member you cannot expect support if anything goes wrong, see viewtopic.php?f=66&t=18031 (and any posts about beta W...

Re: 171.67.108.200 - Internal Server Error

This is affecting windows SMP clients as well, however depending on the configuration, they are still being assigned work by the secondary AS. In my case my 24 core Linux box gets INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR from the primary AS, and then gets an empty work assignment from the secondary AS. My windows clie...

Re: Install on Linux without X11?

Welcome to the forums pazau!

You can download a tarball only release of the client from here https://fah-web.stanford.edu/projects/F ... llReleases (they aren't actually beta releases), which you can use to run the Folding@home client from a terminal with no X server.

Agreed, there are actually 2 issues here:
  1. There are broken work units which show a number of different failure modes
  2. The client crashes when the core dies in one of those failure modes

Re: server 155.247.166.219 missing credit

From the most recent posts this one is the only credited WU

Code: Select all

Hi Baudhuin (team 35819),
Your WU (P6395 R43 C8 G21) was added to the stats database on 2015-03-11 01:09:32 for 1728.99 points of credit.
I'm going to ping the stats staff again to see what's up.

Re: 7520 (R119 C4 G264) Could not get length of results file

Looks like a faulty WU. Someone else has returned a very small partial result and received 0 credit, and the stats system suggests that the WU is faulty. I'm going to mark it as bad, so it shouldn't be re-assigned until someone looks at it.
