Re: RTX 4090 is getting 26M PPD

I do run Win 10. That said, I don't mind it if the point inflation stops - it's just weird that this 450W capable card doesn't even hit 300W power consumption with F@H. That tells me that there's alot of unused computing power here.

Re: RTX 4090 is getting 26M PPD

My 4090 only gets about 9-18M PPD.

Will there be more WUs later that actually make this GPU worth the money? At this point, those of us who buy equipment to support the project as our hobby might just as well go for a 4080.

Re: FAHControl not woring, but web control does. How to fix?

I reinstalled a few times and it seems like it was something I did to the config, as it's working now. But not sure what, the only difference (I think?) was not setting 0.0.0.0/0 x2 for remote access.

Re: FAHControl not woring, but web control does. How to fix?

I have disabled the firewall completely, still the same. Anything else I can try? This is a dedicated machine.

FAHControl not woring, but web control does. How to fix?

I have a new issue here. It seems like FAHControl is just stuck at "updating", but the GPUs are folding, and show up in web control. Any clue on how to fix this? Win10 64bit, 460.xx driver if it matters.

Re: Do you need help?

Would it make any sense reaching out to other universities if the need for more work servers is still increasing? I work at the University of Oslo (in Norway), and I could always ask if they're interested in helping you out here. I don't know if they have the storage you ask for, but who knows? Also...

Re: Multi-GPU PPD drop

I completely forgot about this thread. I was thinking about running some cards in WS mobos, with x8 Gen 3 bandwidth. I recall there was a PPD drop even in high bandwidth scenarios before, when using multiple GPUs.

Multi-GPU PPD drop

Has anyone tried to run more than two GPUs in their Pascal/Turing rigs using HW that won't make PCIe bandwidth a bottleneck? My mobos are getting old (LGA115x/X79/X99), and I was wondering if I might just as well look for some space saving solutions, similar to those miners use - through some 8x pci...

Re: Folding with a >32 thread system

I didn't think of adding more CPU slots, to be honest. When running NaCl I have like 4 Chrome profiles that get loaded at startup.

Folding with a >32 thread system

I've got a couple of servers here, which have more than 32 threads available. Is there any way they can do any reasonable work without running many instances of F@H at the same time? My 2x 10c/20t setup is currently running multiple NaCl instances, which is OK, but I'd like to know what options ther...

Re: Core 18 and Maxwell

Why not add some code that disables the troublesome projects for GTX970/980? Having a gazillion Maxwells running at half speed is bad for the project in general (=slower returns overall) - it would be way better if those GPUs ran other WUs at full speed. Let 680/780/780ti's run these core 18 units i...

I have no problems sending WUs anymore :) At least that's something.

Re: Problems uploading completed WUs

Ther 2nd rig shows the same when uploading to 171.65.103.160 - but 140.163.4.231 shows much better UL speed.

Re: Problems uploading completed WUs

The clock jump is true, it was due to a time zone error I noticed when I was trying to figure out the issue. The DL speed was fine, but I see my UL speed is crap. It's normal on the other rigs, though... not sure what's going on here. Edit: not sure if it's possible, but can I move the WUs from one ...
