Re: Help

additional client parameters will be the -smp (this is also called a flag, it tells the client what extra to do)
launching automatically is fine, but some people want to launch it manually (like me)
IP address is only for proxy settings, you will not need it so leave it empty

Re: Suggestions for v7

I am in agreement with several ideas, but I would like to add a few of my own: 1) a profile selector: where you can select a program, when it loads, pause the gpu client, set cpu to 25% (or whatever % user selectable) max use. The profile selector should be able to do any function from pausing the w...

Re: Points Delay? PPD?

How easy it is to get a passkey? I know that you provide your username (that you fold under?) and e-mail address... when I begin using a username (that it seems) that no one else is using, does that mean no one has used it in a month? if nothing shows up in the search, does that mean that no one has...

Re: Points Delay? PPD?

is there any postings that back up that Pande is planning to implement bonuses on anything else (GPU/classic)? or is it a assumption/guess?

Re: Points Delay? PPD?

Passkeys.... only apply to SMP clients for Bonus Points? Would using a Passkey on a GPU client earn bonus points? If only SMP clients are eligible for bonuses then no passkeys are needed if you do not run SMP, is that right?

Re: Psummary missing projects 1796 & 1797

I got a P1796 WU on the 15th and it was only at 28% - I trashed it bc I figured it was stuck being so long to complete, I can normally complete a single core client WU in 13 - 14 hrs max, if P1796 is going to 3 days and not completing but 1/4 of the WU there is something wrong, I think I added -advm...

Any word on how many points there worth? FahMon is coming up empty.
FAHMON still coming up empty, probably because http://fah-web.stanford.edu/psummary.html has no record of them.
Could someone address this, or it like that for a reason?

Re: Project: 1796

I received one of these units last night, just getting back to my computer and noticing no WU summery information about it. Thanks for the info, here is my start/DL time and current status time: Start time: [04:06:16] Project: 1796 (Run 26, Clone 135, Gen 7) Current time: [20:11:16] Completed 325000...

Upcoming version 7?

For cleaning out the old version, since I use the console version, I simply set the "asknet=no" flag to"asknet=yes" and then when the notification box pops up asking me to connect I give it permission then after the results are sent, I shut down the core, delete the folder and al...

Re: What CPU is better? Intel or AMD?

uncle fuzzy you run pretty much dedicated folding machines, fine for those that will dedicate their machine for that purpose, I however only want one machine. When I get another I will retire my old one to a friend or family member that needs a new PC, it maybe a year or two old, but better than non...

Re: What CPU is better? Intel or AMD?

I think that we got off topic here fellas. I'm not interested in points per watt or dedicated system, my machine is part time only, and for gaming primary use, a High end GPU is a necessity for gaming, CPU is also desired, but not anything low end. My question only was, Intel, or AMD? If more clocks...

Re: FAH is the weirdest piece of software I ever installed

I installed the systray version first and was massively unimpressed, - followed by a prompt uninstall. I gave it a week and decided to go on a hunt, found the console version, many people call it pure software, more for the geeky folders, whatever I like it because it's simple, I get to see the prog...
