As far as I know, there are currently no Alzheimer's projects.

Re: Any news?

I kind of get OP's point.

Communication is key to motivate us folders. But honestly, FAH is already doing a pretty good job on this. With Rosetta@Home, you have no idea what you're crunching and the research very rarely reply on questions on the forum.

Re: red circle with stuck out tongue

FACTS: The Intel iGPs are extremely slow compared to other GPUs. Also if you also fold with a CPU slot, it will slow down, increasing your total throughput only slightly. In other words, don't expect much. Speed it really important to FAH projects and slow GPUs do slow down the whole project. There...

Re: why am i not getting any COVID projects?

The Moonshot isn't the only Covid project running in Folding@Home though. There are other Covid projects being run, and also projects looking at other diseases. The active project list is here: https://apps.foldingathome.org/psummary Since OP is a CPU folder, look at the core A7 projects (afaik, on...

Re: why am i not getting any COVID projects?

FAH put a lot of work into preparing data for the COVID Moonshot project. (We were only one team of many working cooperatively.) I was disappointed when I heard that project was cancelled. I'm not sure of the details. (Reasons might have included the non-patentability of FAH's results or project fu...

I think he's a CPU only folder - the projects he's describing are the same I'm getting on my CPU.

Re: COVID Moonshot - should it be left without saving lives?

If the Covid Moonshot finds a compound that it shown to work in an in vitro assay and is safe in animal testing, and can be synthesized in an economical way, then many drug companies can start clinical trials without paying for a patent. It would be ethical to credit the Covid Moonshot if they use ...

@MFicek: We hear you, and we primarily use Folding@home to work on cancer! You can check out more of what we do here: http://choderalab.org Much of the lab has been pitching in on our COVID work to develop a new small molecule therapy with the COVID Moonshot ( http://postera.ai/covid ), but we shou...
