Poll: -bigadv on a 32bit system?
According to the Project 2682 malloc error thread, big advanced WUs may already be hitting the 32bit memory barrier. Makes me wonder if there actually are any -bigadv capable rigs out there running a 32bit OS? If not, wouldn't the easiest solution be to create separate 64bit cores for -bigadv only a...

Re: Optimising new computer build for folding at home
Or you'd need lots of available molex connectors and adapters. With the adapters, you'd also have to be very careful not to exceed the current limitations of the connectors and the wires.

Re: 6512 (Run 19, Clone 122, Gen 6)
Thanks for the tip, the timezone was set incorrectly in the Linux client. Still seeing some odd things in the stats page (active client count is incorrect), but at least the most recent 3 WUs I returned showed up OK. As far as I'm concerned, problem solved, supposing there even was a problem to begi...

Re: 6512 (Run 19, Clone 122, Gen 6)
Oops, my bad. I forgot that the log timestamps have a huge offset on my Linux client. Any ideas as to why? Log timestamps on the Windows clients seem to be normalized to UTC. Yep, whining about 59 points is ridiculous as such. :-D Just wanted to check if there's some sort of real problem somewhere. ...

6512 (Run 19, Clone 122, Gen 6)
Has this one been uploaded and credited properly? It still doesn't show up in the official stats. Any known issues with this older client regarding upload and crediting? For some time now, official stats have only reported two active clients for me during last 7 days. There should be 3 clients activ...

Re: FAH is the weirdest piece of software I ever installed
Sysinternals Desktops is also quite nice and lightweight. Very basic for a virtual desktop utility, but gives me exactly what I need to hide client(s), HFM.NET and the like, and nothing more. Only 2MB Commit Size on my Windows 7 64bit Ultimate with all 4 Desktops created.

Re: FAH is the weirdest piece of software I ever installed
Well, if any of the FAH clients really is the weirdest piece of SW you ever installed - or have to install - count yourself lucky. Very, very lucky. I, for one, actually prefer the console clients. While my rig is running 24/7 for my personal convenience, it isn't dedicated to folding, so ...
