Re: Core26 released to full FAH ?
Hello Complement on OpenMM 8.2.0 based on GitHub. I saw no material difference for my Nvidia card compared to Core23, but it could make a difference for recent AMD cards performance / PPD ? OpenMM 8.2.0 This release is a major update with a focus on improving performance. For the first time in many ...

Core26 released to full FAH ?
Hello I just noticed one of my rig downloaded a new core, Core26, for a 17650 work unit that used to be folding under Core 23. Except the very obvious change from OpenMM 8.0.0 to OpenMM 8.2.0 between those 2 cores, anything else we should know ? Notably, can a trajectory / PRCG mix Core23 and Core26...

Re: Feedback on Highland Servers?
Hello It appears the slow uploads are back, at least since last Saturday with my ISP in France. Re: Project 18251 very low PPD on RTX 2060s
Thanks for sharing your investigations
I am by default set up as cause = "Cancer" and get 18251s on the 980 Ti regularly. Ubuntu 24.04 with client 8.3.18 is using 11-12 Go of RAM when folding it, including 4 Go of RAM for cache, with normal PPD.

Re: Project 18251 very low PPD on RTX 2060s
Hello It folds well with my two rigs, but I remember it was a very special project based on the researcher's comments in the project description. Did not see something like this before. Here is the researcher's comment: N.B. because tau is an intrinsically disordered protein, it can fully unfold and...

Re: api.foldingathome.org server issues?
+1
Started in the last 48 hours, nothing fancy, just regularly checking on my cell phone my rigs. Remains as "loading" or "disconnected", randomly works. No issues in the previous weeks. Using v8.3.18 and https://v8-3.foldingathome.org/machines.

Re: Try to enable NVidia GPUs on Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS for Folding
In practice I could suggest to check if your devices are whithelisted in the /var/lib/fah-client/gpus.json file For example I do see in my local json file: - entry 776, GF100 [Quadro 4000 Linux/Mac Edition] 486, PCI Vendor Id 4318 / PCI Device Id 1757 - entry 758, G96 [Quadro FX 580], PCI Vendor Id ...

Re: Try to enable NVidia GPUs on Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS for Folding
Hello Quadro 4000 = GF100 = Fermi generation Quadro FX 580 = Quadro FX Tesla generation I don't know if all pre-Maxwell graphics card are still supported by the project's current cores, see https://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?t=36972 that refers to GF10x cards not being supported by core22, then ...

Re: Corrupted / bad job 18237/1069/0/71 (failing for all users)
Hi Justin, I am checking a few hours after. For example for a failure from yesterday on P18238 This is the log 16:30:05:I3:WU20:Started FahCore on PID 145117 16:30:06:I1:WU20:*********************** Log Started 2024-11-12T16:30:05Z *********************** [...] 16:30:06:I1:WU20:*********************...

Re: Corrupted / bad job 18237/1069/0/71 (failing for all users)
Hi Justin, Thanks a lot for sharing what is happening behind the scene. Would this manual reset you perform explain why, when I use one of the folding at home apps to import a PRCG for a failing WU (to see if it needs to be reported) and see who processed it whith which outcome, I sometimes do not s...

Re: Feedback on Highland Servers?
Hi Justin, Thanks for the inquiry. It's indeed quite slow to upload results to Highland servers from France, see below, from a fiber line with an usual 700 MB/s to 800 MB/s upload performance. Hope it can be improved... 10:49:41:I3:WU515:Started FahCore on PID 309142 10:49:41:I1:WU515:**************...

Re: Corrupted / bad job 18237/1069/0/71 (failing for all users)
Hi Paul, It's a brand new card and, again, it's only for this particular project, I would be more hardware-focused if it happened with the 16 other projects I am currently being assigned ? It only happens with this one. Regarding Core24, it runs without any error on all P18230 WUs received so far, b...

Re: Corrupted / bad job 18237/1069/0/71 (failing for all users)
Hi Paul I have browsed my logs and here is one sample of the first Force RMSE error I saw mid-October. I have dozens like this, only for this particular project. 17:41:08:I3:WU40:Started FahCore on PID 8605 17:41:09:I1:WU40:*********************** Log Started 2024-10-18T17:41:09Z *******************...
