Interesting, to say the least. Do those temperature changes correlate to some non-FAH activity, such as screen update frequency or to running some other program that might use the GPU? Just had another one, Project: 9704 (Run 30, Clone 15, Gen 15) if it matters. Happened to spot it just as it start...

I've had an oddity with Core_21 on my 780 Ti (Linux, 346.35 drivers, overclocked from NVidia stock but underclocked from factory setting), not sure if it's related. Normally it runs at ~70-73ºC, but occasionally it will shoot up to the low 80's, stay there for 10 minutes or so then drop back to norm...

@David- have you tried a different machine? Maybe something went awry on the rebuild?

As v0.0.4 it hasn't been a beta core for some time, but only P9704 WUs were available. (edit- since end of May: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=27749#p276703)

That turned out to be a bad move. System started trashing every GPU WU. Had to reinstall Ubuntu. :( Someone mentioned some while ago that drivers from ppa's sometimes have bits missing, eg xorg-edgers had no CUDA drivers at one point iirc. Although it's a bit of a chore, I've always found it safest...

My 780Ti on Linux runs Core18 and Core21 on 346.59. My 780 Ti is running fine on cores 17, 18 and 21 with 346.35 (Linux Mint 17.2)... as are the GTX 980's. I'm running Core_21 WUs fine with 346.46 on Mint, but only adv client, not beta. I'm not sure what may have changed- I think there's a later core?
