about 7k may be right for that cpu.
I have a Phenom II 970 and it won't average 10k.

Re: Is CPU folding worth the cost?
Thanks for the answer. But let me write my question in another way. Is spending 1 dollar/euro in electricity by folding with a GPU more productive than spending the same amount of money by folding with a CPU? I won't install Folding@Home on my laptop if someone having a GPU spends 10 times less mon...

Are you saying that I can use the same passkey I have for different user names I may use?bruce wrote:As long as you used the same passkey, just get the official points report using the passkey and you'll see all the names you've used.

Re: Suggestion to donors: donate instead of buying hardware
I'd rather buy new equipment and donate my money to the electric company.
I doubt that F@H is hurting for money, I suspect they would rather have the work coming in faster than it is now.

It's only a loss of a couple of weeks work if you really want a new name.
I've got points spread out over several names for different teams and I don't let it bother me, the work turned in is the important part.

I've cranked out a few of this set and love the points.

Re: project:7808 no bonus point on smp & gpu not work
You will get points when it does the score update. Some of the servers don't show you the point info for GPU units on your interface like it will for your CPU units.. I have a GTX260 that does not show what the points for the WU are, but I get the points after the WU is done and they update the hour...

Re: WU 7904-- long folding time for this project number.
I got WU 7646 and 7647 on 2 different folding comps and a quick glance shows both machines have lost about 2k ppd with these 2+ day folding time units. I'm not really complaining, but right now our group is having a contest and it is putting a hurt on my scores. Right now 1 of the comps that regular...

Re: no credit for WU's complete
Hmmm, I wonder if this is the same answer I will get about my GTX 260 not showing points on my client control.
I hadn't seen this thread before I started one about it.

Re: Discussion: what is holding F@h back?
Most of the people I know just want plug and play. 1. Install 2. Hit fold. Last time I checked, V7's installation follows this behavior. 1. Install. 2. Asks for optional configuration stuff. The defaults all work fine. 3. Starts folding automatically until you hit Pause or Finish. The main uniproce...
