Re: Some errors and no points from GPU workload

Update: the issue resolved itself. All I did was re-syncing. Was that the issue? To be completely honest, I have no clue. The issue reassorbed itself after posting here and syncing, so either the sync really did something, or the poltergeist got scared of the forum. :D About nVidia and undervolting,...

Some errors and no points from GPU workload

I'm running Windows 10 with a 7800X3D and 3080ti. Latest drivers (updated today manually to be 100% sure) on motherboard, chipset, GPU. GPU is undervolted, not overclocked because quite unstable (very bad luck with silicon lottery, hehe). Whenever I fold, GPU WU don't award me any point, so I decide...

Re: Tips for installing Nvidia .run files in Linux

Nope, a single one!
Edit: I didn't get your question at first. I'm sorry. Yes, it has "dual", the dedicated from nVidia and the integrated from the Intel Chipset.

Re: FahCore returned: BAD_WORK_UNIT (114 = 0x72) with 960M

Emh...ok? So...what can I do, about? I've tried downloading the CUDA Toolkit, installed, rebooted and everything: still not detected. Googled a little bit, but I can't seem to find any "special driver with CUDA", so...how do you all get them?

FahCore returned: BAD_WORK_UNIT (114 = 0x72) with 960M

I've just finished to update and install the latest drivers (they are working, installed, latest version...), put the GPUs.txt file in place, and finally my GPU is detected and I can fold with it. Welp...I could, if only I didn't get that error. Everytime I press the 'Fold' button (right click on GP...

Re: How does the GPU folding works, and how to make it work

I know the whole guide you told me to check, I've spent the past days on it, writing and trying to understand how to make it work with all the problems I had about, ahahah :) Drivers are ok, I've updated them, and now they are the latest and installed. Also, thanks a lot for the 'GPUs.txt' file, I t...

Re: How does the GPU folding works, and how to make it work

Ok, I've installed the drivers after tons of troubles: now the GPU is not detected, I guess. Whenever I try to add a folding slot for the GPU it gives me an error, saying that it could not find a GPU...what's wrong with that, this time? What can I do?

Re: Tips for installing Nvidia .run files in Linux

After TONS of time, research, hours spent to understand what was wrong...I did it! :D The hard way is always the best way...bruteforce for the win! If anyone else will have troubles installing the drivers for the nVidia GeForce GTX 960M, or maybe installing them on Linux Mint Cinnamon 64-bit 17.2 &q...

Re: Tips for installing Nvidia .run files in Linux

Followed the guide, and booted via GRUB menu, forcing the Text mode: nothing changed. 'X' server still there, 'X' server still working, 'X' server still blocking my installation. I'm wondering if there is any other way, such uninstalling/deleting/whatever this creepy 'X' server for a while, do the i...

Re: Tips for installing Nvidia .run files in Linux

The things I'm doing to fold my GPU onthe software are getting heavier and nastier the more I try, lol. Wonderful. By the way, thanks for the guide, I've read everything and - again - googled a lot...still, a question: how am I supposed to have the GRUB menu at the start? Pressing Esc didn't work, i...

Re: Tips for installing Nvidia .run files in Linux

Welp, I downloaded the file from the nVidia website, chose Linux 64 bit, and it gave me the .exe file...I was a little bit concerned as I expected something different, like a .deb, or stuff like that, but...you know, it's the official nVidia website, so I trusted it. I guess this one was the problem...

Re: Tips for installing Nvidia .run files in Linux

1. Installed Mint, updated everything with "sudo apt-get update" and "sudo apt-get dist-upgrade", restarted. Note that open-source drivers are in use here (on my newer GPUs (780 and up), no drivers were in use and instead in software rendering mode). 2. Used Firefox to fetch the...

Re: How does the GPU folding works, and how to make it work

After some personal research I found out what to do, but thanks anyway for the answer. I've got another question, though: how do I know which drivers are 'good' and which drivers are not? Because the guide I found on this forum talks about a different video card, and I'm not sure about using those d...

How does the GPU folding works, and how to make it work

Hello, I'm Monok and I'm a totally newbie here. I've downloaded the FAH softwares one hour ago, and started to use the 8 cores of my CPU for my very first WU. It works pretty well, but I own a computer with a very good GPU (nVidia GeForce GTX 960M), so I was wondering about how to fold it, and how t...
