Re: New user, Linux, 32-core Xeon working but not using GPUs

You should expect to see a few hundred thousand with a GPU. The config file is located in /etc/fahclient

What does the command "nvidia-smi" show as the GPU name?

Excuse Bruce, he replies to a lot of emails. :)

What version of Linux are you running? I assume Ubuntu? if so follow this and do the Graphics drivers and Open CL part:

Re: [help] advice needed to build FAH rig

I wrote this post specifically for what you are looking to do: https://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=28869 This is my eighteenth year folding so I have a little experience. I have two solid machines running with the AMD FX-8350/8370 CPU's for years now. They are cheap to acquire. Then I ...

Re: Mining Motherboard for FAH (with many pcie x1 slots)

You need a physical core per GPU to maintain performance. No hyperthreading, etc. That will limit you with lots of PCIe losts. The best I have done is 7 cards on 16X slots. I have moved to the max of 5 on mixed 16x to 4x for stability and performance.

Re: CPU requirement for GPU folding (NV)

One other thing to note. If it is a dedicated machine with multi GPU it is best to turn off Hyperthreading. Otherwise fahcore can jump to using the same physical core on both threads. Hyperthreading is only good for apps that do a lot of IO and are threaded.

Re: daily_user_summary issue.

Never mind I found the entry for the above. It is a case issue. And that makes sense with the email part. But now the question is how to handle this in a stats page since there is no way to decipher the differences in the summary file. I see that http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/ ... =&u=7...

Re: daily_user_summary issue.

Two entries on the same team. Did this person lose some PPD? If you look at FAH stats it gets even more hosed: 3,331 jims85montess 74,591,948 1,688 111065 31,113 jims85montess 2,971,743 294 0 Where is this 2,971,743? Not in the summary file anywhere. This is just for starters. I have many more I ca...

Re: daily_user_summary issue.

Or this new issue:

anonymous 12812668353 63324110 0
anonymous 140 3 0

Two anonymous users on the same team. Obviously the first is correct one. But this is just the small issues I am finding with something so simple. Makes me worried about how the data is being handled.

Re: daily_user_summary issue.

Understood. But most of them haven't added credits in years. What about the other errors above that where there is no usernames in the summary file?

Re: daily_user_summary issue.

Additionally looks like a team entry that doesn't exist:

2244970
4294967295

Not to mention some crazy character usernames that don't translate so well.

daily_user_summary issue.

There appears to be several users with no usernames in the daily file. Example lines:

Code: Select all

253622370	1237512	0
	32546224	30680	0
	3494627	621	70911
	2200813	636	231781
Which looks to be the credit and not the username for the first field. This has been there for a long time it seems.

Re: Guidance for building a folding dedicated computer

7 slots doesn't necessarily mean it's capable of handling 7 GPUs... Since the CPU will handle a max of 40 PCI lanes, 5 x8 GPU connections would be the max available, IF you could physically put the cards into the machine. That board will accept a max of 4 double-slot GPU cards. This is not correct....
