Re: PCI-e bandwidth/capacity limitations

i don`t see any ppd increase with pl 220, on both cards tasks 94xx and 117xx produce same 1+ mppd set pl back to 180 so, have tested 1080ti @ pci-e v2.0 x1, ryzen platform mentioned above task 9415, at 20% progress shows 856k ppd nvidia settings console shows 11% pci-e link load. well, 1070 will fol...

Re: PCI-e bandwidth/capacity limitations

good news! Dual 1080ti gpu rig on Linux Mint 17.1, one card @ pci-e v3.0 x16, the second @ pci-e v 2.0 x4 power limit 180 watt per card cards show same productivity in similar tasks, over 1m ppd each in my case it was ryzen platform but now i guess that legacy platforms with pci-e v2.0 are still goo...

Linux, good shielded pci-e riser, some case modding (or TT Core71, or FD Define R6) or open frame makes triple (or more) card rig high effective

Re: FP64 trial run, anyone?

Hi everyone!
two months ago i own couple of FirePro W8100 (Tonga-chip). Tested one with f@h and get ~150k points at 800 GHz chip and 1250 Ghz memory. Are that point numbers ok? Are there any fp64 projects in f@h? couse w8100 is ~1,9 GFlops in fp64 and should be good for that kind of projects

Re: Guidance for building a folding dedicated computer

AMD FX series are a lot lower cost for the same number of cores, ... Ignore "hyperthreaded" cores - they do NOT work well to support folding GPUs, they MIGHT be worth a QUARTER of a real core. ... In fact, ignore AMD AMD FX supports only pci-e v2, that, in theory, may limit gpu productivi...

Re: Please advise, hoping to build a dedicated folding machi

As I have posted in the newbie section, I am looking to build or buy a fairly brutish PC to fold with. It might get some VR gaming as well eventually. Asus WS-series motherboard Intel 8-thread CPU 16 to 32 Gb RAM 4 to 7 1080Ti PSU by Seasonic / Corsair / EVGA / Superflower with common +12v line 120...

yes, the case is a bit customized (originaly Antec NSK 4482, very compact and spacy, AYCS), and the room... is watercloset, hot air blows directly into exhaust ventilation. No noise and no heat in livingrooms 3x1080Ti FE run their coolers up to 80% and temperatures up to 80 C https://img-fotki.yande...
