Re: On forced restart Client refuses to run until reinstalle

It's the software as I've rolled back to 7.44 and I do NOT have the same problem. As I've already stated, I am trying to recover data from some hard drives and they like to lock my system at times hence why I have to reboot. 7.44 does not have that problem as I've had to force reboot several times t...

On forced restart Client refuses to run until reinstalled

I'm having issues with the new client where if I have to force restart my computer, say a program hangs, and I have to power it down to get back into windows, where the client absolutely refuses to run until the client has been completely uninstalled and reinstalled. It doesn't matter if I pause a w...

https://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/ hosts them, though there is a delay on the updates.

Re: FAH stopped on core download

The only system that did not have issues is a computer I have doing nothing but CPU work units. So it's obviously something to do with GPU WU servers or something. One of my machines is still not working properly, and is not grabbing WU, even after uninstalling and re-installing FAH. I have also cha...

Re: FAH stopped on core download

All of my machines have stopped downloading with no error messages, and they all use google as their DNS. They refused to grab new WU until they were rebooted. I would like to add that only 1 computer uses the new 7.5.1 client. Another computer is on linux and using 7.44 and the other is 7 and using...

Yes it will, sadly.

Re: Not enough a7 WUs

You do realize that the folks at Pande Labs are Bio-Physicists, not computer techs, right? With the amount of times the servers go down, and the sheer number of them that aren't even functioning..I think they've made it pretty clear they don't even know how to operate a computer, let alone be compu...

Re: Quad 1080Ti + ASUS X299 + F@H > DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

You've stated that you are testing in Linux and having no issues, which would mean it's more than likely an issue with the drivers in windows or the way that Windows is handling the data on the bus. You should stick with Linux anyways as you will be able to get more work done, and have less overhead...

Re: Entire GPU WU system down

Until Stanford starts paying someone to monitor the servers 24-7, weekends suck when the servers go down. Sadly this is a volunteer only project, and when things go south, there is nothing we donors can do except WAIT. Your attitude about this doesn't really help. I take it you're probably a miner? ...

Re: Why are projects 9415 and 9414 such low PPD?

The issue I have with this is the server SHOULD know what card you have from the GPU txt file. It polls the card to see what you have, and bingo. Or does it only poll it to the point where it asks if you have an nvidia or AMD card? But as for your card not getting used to it's full potential, blame ...

Re: Why are projects 9415 and 9414 such low PPD?

VM is not an option as the only VM that gives linux full access is hyper-visor in Server 2016, or if you have GRID compatible cards. If you had linux installed as a base, it wouldn't be a problem but going the other way, is literally impossible. Windows as a host OS and linux as a guest with full ha...

Bruce really knows the error codes well. I wish there was a wiki somewhere that we could go to, to find out what these errors mean.

Re: Windows vs Linux

I usually just use coolbits and manually set the clock to as fast as I think it can go, rdp in and set powermizer to max performance, and you're off to the races. It's not like your linux machine will ever reboot :P. I haven't figured out how to get it to stay :/ so this is my method of madness.
