Re: DNS lookup failed for ... Error

That script that patches the plist is only needed for v7. The launchctl unload/load does a stop/start. Yeah I had only used the unload/load, and it did make it show up again. The previous sudo /bin/launchctl stop org.foldingathome.fahclient sudo /bin/launchctl start org.foldingathome.fahclient Did ...

Re: DNS lookup failed for ... Error

man, there's a lot of app.foldingathome with good features.. is there a glossary somewhere? And no, only my iMac is showing nothing from the MBP. Once the current WU is completed I'll update. When I rebooted my system the MBP didn't show again on https://beta.foldingathome.org/machines on my iMac/Ph...

Re: DNS lookup failed for ... Error

Yeah I checked there and all the info is correct. I have two machines, an older Intel iMac that’s done 2 WUs on that account no problem and the M2 Max MBP that’s having the issues. They both show up under https://beta.foldingathome.org/machines so I don’t think there’s an issue with the account conf...

Re: DNS lookup failed for ... Error

Sure I'll update. The log from when the update went through is below. I have no luck with the alpha, installing it makes the machine not show up. I tried https://beta.foldingathome.org/machines and https://alpha.foldingathome.org/machines . Installing the Beta version makes it instantly show up agai...

Re: DNS lookup failed for ... Error

Thanks! It also didn’t load a new WU. I then reinstalled the fah client and I immediately pulled a new WU and the upload of the previous stuck WU went through (probably just because that restarted the client similar to how the terminal command would) and I have the “Credited” in the log, but it does...

DNS lookup failed for ... Error

Hi! I'm on an M2Max Mac and started folding again. I'm using the current open Beta (Client 8.3.5) and have an issue with uploading my results. Downloading WU and folding works fine, but uploading keeps failing. I tried changing my DNS settings on my Mac, but that didn't help. Another issue that migh...

Re: Only BAD WORK UNITS Geforce GT630M (ANSWERED)

Wait so now I need lots more WU to qualify for the QRB? To have the 80% successful return rate?

Re: Only BAD WORK UNITS Geforce GT630M (ANSWERED)

Yeah I get your points. It has been pretty much ewaste since a while... so sad! What I noticed as a potential bug (or feature?) that could be exploited: I seem to have more WUs completed than i think i actually did. Do those Bad Work Units when reuploaded count towards the WU amount? If yes - this c...

Re: Only BAD WORK UNITS Geforce GT630M

Thanks for the swift reply. So I will never be able to use it to fold, right - very unfortunate.

Only BAD WORK UNITS Geforce GT630M (ANSWERED)

Hey guys, newbie here. I'm sucessfully folding on a 16" (Windows Bootcamp I get up to 400k ppd, but remebered I still had an ancient PC that had some issues and hasn't worked in a while. After some tinkering it's up and running, CPU is horrendously slow, but it does have a Geforce GT 630M which...
