Re: Project: 5797 (R22, C87, G8)

Fahcore in notfred is most likely to blame- it got upgraded to 2.10 recently...both have 2671- different RCG :e(
It seems to affect both 787 and 353 pointers so far.

Re: Project: 5797 (R22, C87, G8)

I had similar problem today- 1 of 2 GPU clients. I turned off 1 of 2 notfreds( each set to 4 cores)- it goes back up. Did a restart- it seems to be gone.

Re: Virtual Machine

Not as quick as hardware accelerated virtualization, but it should run. Since there are a lot more points from A2 WUs, you could probably still make more than WinSMP. My old Athlon x2@3.1GHz yielded around 1800-1900 PPD from Ubuntu 8.04 VMware with binary(software) virtualization and half that(on a ...

Re: Virtual Machine

Notfred's appliance is universal- x86 and x64; SMP requires x64 support. As far as I know E7200 supports x64, and it runs x64 Win7 for you, so it should be fine with notfred's SMP.

Re: Virtual Machine

If you don't need the Linux to play with, then you can use notfred's virtual appliance (http://reilly.homeip.net/folding/) with minimum setup. It's already setup and very small, and all you have to do is reconfigure it with your name and team, and reset the appliance. You can run it under the player...

Re: SMP or GPU2?

Get the virtual appliance @ http://reilly.homeip.net/folding/ and run it under VMware Player. Make sure you put your name and team.

Re: 59xxs

I've been having constant problems with 5904 in particular, when I play DXVA video (x264) in Media Player Classic Home Cinema. I lost quite a few of them, and it sucks because they yield more points than the 511 pointers I get stuck with. Normally I would blame the driver(beta),OS(beta), or the play...

Re: Configurable affinity changer for Windows

I was too quick to complain- my configuration file changed and I just noticed it. The 64-bit version works just fine with 32-bit processes, even without run as administrator. I promise to do more research next time before I ask a question

Re: Configurable affinity changer for Windows

I've encountered a little problem recently. I installed 64-bit Windows 7 and the 64-bit WinAFC, but the GPU client is 32-bit and WinAFC doesn't seem to touch it. The 32-bit WinAFC is exactly the opposite- it works only with 32-bit processes. Any solution?

Re: BSOD: don't game and fold at the same time...

I also used to bind the GPU client to the same core Firefox is on to avoid lag. So far, since I switched to Win7, my games are fine with GPU client in the background. On a few occasions they even ran with GPU set at realtime priority- a sure BSOD in XP. Lag issues are gone too- the client release th...
