Re: AMD Radeon 8870 GPU not recognised after driver upgrade
If that doesnt work: Did you install the latest FAH version? (7.6.9) Could you post the first 200 lines of you log which shows your system, etc? Also: Do you have a GPUs.txt in your FAHClient folder?

Re: AMD GPU Error sortShortList on some projects
Client-type advanced will not fix any errors. It will simply make your client looking for advanced WUs (which are WUs that just made it out of beta testing) additionally to "normal" WUs and thats it. Afaik. muziqaz might have a point, as this WU has been returned 2 or 3 times as faulty. Ha...

Re: My GPU keeps failing workunits
Try for example GPU-Z to track your temps. Its quite accurate.

Its not you. I had exactly the same phenomenon, didnt even need to reboot, it simply worked after a client restart. Whatever it is, its weird and not you.

Re: Back Folding, I missed it. Cannot Seem To Find GPU
Just mark the dot below "GPU", meaning you want to create a GPU slot. You can leave the other settings on their default and simply press OK. It should recognize your GPU correctly.

Re: Desktop freeze when GPU folding
If the CPU is continuing to fold after the freeze has happened and the GPU slot has failed it might hint at GPU rather than CPU? Also my thoughts, hence the OC hint. I just dont know if OC is enough of an explanation for this utter failure, it killed the driver. Then again, I'm not a hardware profe...

Re: Cannot Send work 155.247.164.213
Looks like this server is just up again - probably had some downtime due to overload. Just let the program run, it will try to upload regularly.

Re: Can't upload to WS 155.247.164.213 / CS 155.247.166.219
There probably still is quite a backlog on this CS server. Just wait, let the program run and it will try as much as possible.

Did you do anything specifically apart from the restart?

Re: Desktop freeze when GPU folding
Without knowing whether its part of the problem - I would recommend having the CPU (which model btw) not above 75°C. CPUs tend to be a bit more sensitve than GPUs. By any chance: Do you have OC as well? Your GPU comes with factory-side OC and boost as well. You might want to try stabilty with a tool...

Re: RTX 2070 not recognized - no GPU shown
I had almost the same problem after upgrading today, on the first start the Control would not accept a new GPU slot. After shutting down the client and restarting it (without a pc reboot), a correctly configured GPU slot was set up automatically. In conclusion: Have you tried turning it off and on a...

It's an issue that shouldnt pop up again once the infrastructure has completely adapted to the new scale of users. I feel for your work though.
