I agree 100%. I'm considering changing my FAHClient to run only non-Covid tasks to avoid these WUs. Or instead of that, maybe writing a script to auto-dump them if they hang the GPU for more than 5 minutes. It's a shame that's necessary, but like you said, AMD cards running on Linux are a rarity... ...

Interesting - I never checked to see if the CPU utilization went up while the 31416 GPU task was running. I've had the same problem with my AMD card (RX 5700 XT) and the 13416 WUs. Approximately 85% of the time they're flagged as FAULTY and returned within seconds, but the other 15% just hang my GPU forever. Ok, this will be my last update. I allowed the 13416 WU mentioned above to run the full 4 1/2 hours, and now FAHControl indicates that it's 99.99% complete with 1.00 seconds remaining, and it's been stuck like that for the last 15 minutes. I'm done with these WUs.

One update I'd like to make, in case anyone is still following this - the WUs I included above all had two things in common: The log showed no percentage progress at all, not even the initial 0% entry FAHControl progress also stayed at 0%, with an ETA of 24:00 hours Today I just got another 13416 WU...
