Though now that I think of it, writing UI in C may not be the best idea (I use MingGW which
supports only Win32 API == no MFC or other conveniences).

Perhaps client-server model would be most appropriate with, say, .NET or wxWidgets client...

On Windows, Langouste is a regular console application -- you need to keep the window open.

If there's enough interest I'll look into turning it into tray (but windowless) app...
