Re: What about this imaginary, unsupported Intel GPU I have?
I kept getting a lot of errors on a specific project with the iGPU. Now, it sits idle waiting for an available WU.

Re: Initial impressions for fast ARM hardware
I was checking in on thread about the M1 systems from Apple. Back in November, a user was unable to get FAH to run on their system as it seems the downloaded core was the wrong one. Did FAH make changes to the Mac client to allow it to run under Rosetta2?

Re: Project 13429 issued to AMD Vega 64
I started the GPU back up today and got the same project, but it finished. Looks like whatever the issue is was resolved, or it was specific to that run .... dunno. Happy to be GPU folding again.PantherX wrote:Thanks for that, belloq! I have asked around so let's see what happens

Re: Project 13429 issued to AMD Vega 64
Thank you. I am going to shut down this GPU and spin my CPU back up. The GPU has been working a lot and getting very little actual work done.PantherX wrote:Thanks for that, belloq! I have asked around so let's see what happens

Re: Project 13429 issued to AMD Vega 64
I am getting WU from 13429 today on my Intel UHD 630, and they are failing. My GPU actually went into "FAILED" state in the client. I restarted it yesterday, but since then it has not successfully completed a WU. The common error is "Particle coordinate is nan." Everything was ru...

Is it recommended to follow Intel's advice and use the latest OEM drivers only?

Re: What about this imaginary, unsupported Intel GPU I have?
Thanks for the link! I have received a few WUs today. I guess that's why. Maybe I don't need the beta flag any longer?Jonazz wrote:There is limited support for Intel GPUs: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=36512

Re: What about this imaginary, unsupported Intel GPU I have?
Maybe these are "mistakes" but my machine is working on another WU on my UHD 630.

Re: What about this imaginary, unsupported Intel GPU I have?
If indeed it is using the UHD 630 (do you have a GPU-Z monitor showing that it is busy?) it should be about 1/3 as powerful as a GT 1030. Sorry, I don't. It did the one WU and is now waiting again. All I have is the log, and you can infer the relative speed and computational power by the WU and TPF...

Lol, the recent CPUs page reports this as an "AMD GPU".belloq wrote:I just a first WU for my Intel UHD Graphics 630. It's slower than my CPU folding at the moment. But I'm not expecting anything amazing from this chipset.

How about "It took until today!"Joe_H wrote:When the internal testing s done and they have worked out any problems, then these iGPUs may get enabled for beta testing at first. No idea how long this will take.

I also posted this in another thread but since it is related, also posting here, that I received a WU for my UHD 630 today. It's pretty slow.

Re: Any word about client and cores for Apple Silicon?
...Apple did release developer platforms that used one of their recent ARM based processors months ago, no idea if any developer connected with F@h obtained one. Right, that's what I was hoping, that one or more dev folks associated with F@H would have obtained the hardware Apple made available ove...

Any word about client and cores for Apple Silicon?
Since Apple had test hardware available since summer, and now released officially this week, I was hoping to have heard something about folding@home running on the Apple M1 and future chips. Has there been any official news?
