Re: Running CPU + GPU results in lower PPD than GPU alone?

Re: Running CPU + GPU results in lower PPD than GPU alone?
I'm glad to have found this thread as it had good relevant information. On my Windows system I have a 6-core Xeon and a Quadra T2000 Mobile GPU. I have just started "playing" with the settings. On default, the CPU is allotted 10 cores (6x2=12-1 for GPU and -1 for getting to even threads/co...

Re: Low on work units?
My systems are experiencing this issue again now. All the Mac systems (CPU-only) are waiting between one and ... up to 10 hours now on the computer I am on right now. Generally, it seems that my systems are spending 25%-50% of actual time sitting idle recently. 04:06:44:WU00:FS00:Connecting to assig...

Re: I seem to have received a bad _a8 core update [OS X]
You don't need to reboot your Mac. That's a thing that Windows users do. On a Mac you just halt the client, delete the work unit, and restart the client, like so (assuming you know how to use a command-line terminal): Stop the client: sudo launchctl unload /Library/LaunchDaemons/org.foldingathome.f...

Re: I seem to have received a bad _a8 core update [OS X]
I can confirm that after I set one of my clients, which previously had the "failing" a8 core/project, back to "All" projects, when it completed the WU, it did get another a7 WU from 17201.

I've been able to get my systems up and running with WUs for other projects for now.

Re: I seem to have received a bad _a8 core update
I'm glad to have found this thread. I woke up to find one of my systems doing the same thing, also on the COVID-19 project 16810. MacOS, client 7.6.13, core a8 v0.0.7. Currently at 286 attempts. I've watched it fold previous days with core a8. Top of my log isn't anything other than this: 13:07:16:W...
