Right click your folding at home icon on your desktop and select properties. Look at the target line. If it looks like: "C:\Program Files\FAHClient\HideConsole.exe" "C:\Program Files\FAHClient\FAHClient.exe" --open-web-control Change it to look like: "C:\Program Files\FAHCli...

Re: Project 16525 dumped buy itself when I turned on my PC
Always pause folding at home before rebooting or shutting down .... on windows especially. A shutdown during the time it's writing to disc can and usually will cause a problem resulting in a corrupt WU.

Re: local/remote reomote
You could try 8.4.9 (it's very stable and has a lot of features that HFM had for v7):

Also, I use Nomachine for seeing my other systems.

Re: web client showing no machines after installing 8.3.18
For v7 we used right-click on the slot and select Pause or Finish etc.
For v8 you may find what you're looking for at https://foldingathome.org/v8-3-client-guide/
Keep in mind the login on v8 has nothing to do with your forum login or folding passkey, it is a new login for v8 that you create

Re: web client showing no machines after installing 8.3.18
I just tried the link you're using and got a "no machines" message.
I clicked on Login in and they all showed up.
Also, https://v8-4.foldingathome.org/machines works better & nicer.
