The linux client was running an A2 core (which Windows cannot run). The A2 WUs run much faster than the older A1 WUs.

I would also recommend running only one SMP client at a time, as that is how the Pande group prefers it be done.

Something isn't right. I have 2 SMP systems, and a PS3 folding 24/7 in my house, and multiple people playing EverQuest. I have never lagged anybody out of a game. What kind of Internet connection do you have, and what network hardware are you using?

So, about 3 times per day (at most), your connection is maxed out for a few seconds while a new WU downloads?

I was actually the OP in that thread.

That was due to a speedstep problem with my laptop. The people who responded got me running at full speed again, and I've been folding well on my laptop since. This unfortunately, is a completely different problem.

Well, I am thinking of buying an old G33 board, and returning this one. I can't have my dedicated folder sucking. I really don't want to do that, so I am hoping some solution presents itself.

Can you check what you RAM b/w is? F@H seems to not gain much from core clock speed, but does seem to gain a lot from fast RAM I/O, so that seems to be where it tends to get bottlenecked.
