Re: unable tp get wu from 171.64.65.124 and 171.64.65.100

Found what you referring to: There also is a known issue with the network code in the folding client, it can sometimes fail to retry a download or upload that fails for some reason. If this happens the client will just sit there and never retry the connection. It is more commonly seen when there are...

Re: unable tp get wu from 171.64.65.124 and 171.64.65.100

Is your internet connection by satellite or is there some other reason why it seems to be operating in half-duplex? Most people's connection can handle both an upload and a download concurrently and that is usually more efficient. Since that isn't working for you, we can probably avoid that conditi...

[..]Noticed the CPU slot on my client stalled, stopped FAH (had to kill the process) and started it again[..] Had/have the same thing going on three different machines -- CPU and GPU clients all stall out (indefinitely) while receiving a new WU. Re: Nvidia GeForce 344.75 WHQL driver

I wonder if the GeForce Hotfix driver 344.80 would make a difference, r344 branch (.75 is r343). My guess would be "no" though :(

Re: GPU Nvidia

This 750Ti is probably the best bang/buck right now (on Newegg.) Use driver 327.23 and enjoy some serious folding :)

Re: Any Core 17 WUs Without 'advanced' Flag? [YES]

Haven't seen a single C17 WU on my three folders since the core got release into the wild and I took the advanced flag off. Finally shut down #3 since it's coil-whining like the whistle from hell while working C15 WUs, couldn't stand it any more. Would be nice to have a flag that tells a server &quo...

Re: GTX 780 & Core 17 problems

Looks like the next WHQL driver may fix it -- from here:

Under Windows you can see it in the task manager (or better Process Explorer) -- the system process' working set memory usage keeps growing. Here is an example.

Re: GTX 780 & Core 17 problems

I have had the 2-day crash in the past and it always was driver related. Reverting or updating the driver always fixed it so far. I have seen discussions about this phenomena in regards to the 32X.XX drivers over in the guru3d forums :(

Maybe it's a donor appreciation thing ;) Got a big chunk too, altho no idea what for or how much is recredited since I'm not keeping close tabs on what's outstanding. I'm not complaining tho. :)
