Re: Waiting for work on 192.0.2.1 ?

Well!
I allowed my AMD Fedora system to upgrade, and now I get the dreaded assigning to 192.0.2.1 (I tried the "dnf remove mesa-libOpenCL" step, but the system didn't have that library to remove).
Any new hints?

Re: Waiting for work on 192.0.2.1 ?

dnf remove mesa-libOpenCL
(as root) worked on my Fedora 31 AMD box with GeForce GTX 1660 GPU.
(Still says it doesn't find OpenCL)

Re: It's getting better now, isn't it?

I seem to be getting about 60% of what work I was getting for the past 3 months. I don't think the job queue is full yet. 20X more users takes a LOT more work units. Many of these new users produce 1+M points/day (while the average user production seems to be ~100K points/day) which also creates hig...

Re: Download Bug Happening Again (*.220)

Under Linux

Code: Select all

iptables -I INPUT -s 155.247.166.220 -j DROP
works, but I don't know if it survives a reboot.

Re: Download Bug Happening Again (*.220)

My Fedora client has been getting stuck for the past week when downloading from 155.247.166.220 and the cleanest way to 'fix' the problem so far has been to reboot. I will investigate how to block that address in my router.
Now I find out my router can't actually do THAT activity.

Re: Fedora 31 problems

On my Fedora system, after upgrading to 31 from 30 the FAHControl icon wouldn't bring up the GUI.

I changed the first line of /usr/bin/FAHControl from:
#!/usr/bin/python

to

#!/usr/bin/python2

and then the icon worked again.

Re: Fedora 30 NVIDIA: 7 GP107 [GeForce GTX 1050 ti]

Actually it appears that I DO have to set the OpenCLindex to 0. I had another system loading hangup and had to build another slot. I tried leaving the OpenCLindex index to -1 but it died. It only worked after I built another slot with GPU CUDA and OpenCL all set to 0.

Re: Fedora 30 NVIDIA: 7 GP107 [GeForce GTX 1050 ti]

In case anyone else was interested, the failed download files for Fedora 30 show up in /var/lib/fahclient/work/## directories where## is the work number.

Re: Fedora 30 NVIDIA: 7 GP107 [GeForce GTX 1050 ti]

I removed the slot definition and rebuilt it and now it is running.
QUESTION: Where on the system should I look for the stranded download from the afore mentioned download failure? I wish to clear this from the system memory.

Re: Fedora 30 NVIDIA: 7 GP107 [GeForce GTX 1050 ti]

Perhaps there was some old settings file in the system, because the last two updates (with reboot) worked fine: *********************** Log Started 2019-10-09T01:32:20Z *********************** 01:32:20:************************* Folding@home Client ************************* 01:32:20: Website: https:/...
