Re: Looks like smp and bigadv will soon be dead

Just remember the qrb multi isn't set yet, and maybe they'll finally run out of the shotty 8101s.

It is sad to see the "team" taking all the beta units instead of the proper beta members.

^but my power bill can't

I still have trouble wrapping my head around how the gpu can do the same work as a 4p cpu...... but hey, its not my job.

Re: How do I set up my Server for Maximun Points

Running windows hurts you as I don't believe bigadv is avaliable.

You can run a virtualbox ubuntu setup and do bigadv that way, should be around 130k ppd or so. Native linux would be buttloads more.

As a side note, I'm running right on par again with my new unit picked up.

I too don't dump units just cause of points.

Re: Project 7611 (0, 23, 259) - High TPF

Thanks..

My other 7611 according to hfm take 7 1/2 mins tpf.

I rebooted and its still 58mins+ tpf.

Is this a dump and go, or am I needing to wait it out. though 4 days is extremely long time.

Re: Blog post: "Unified GPU/SMP benchmarking scheme ..."

^But thats a cpu/gpu mix. 1 Tesla running with a amd 16 core 6272 cpu.

You can't use the active clients for cpu count as i'm betting alot of them are unicore setups.

Re: Blog post: "Unified GPU/SMP benchmarking scheme ..."

Should I even inquire about the status of bigadv units in relations to this new gromacs that came seemingly out preform multi-socket systems?
