Re: F@H newbie :-)

Considering you are a FAH newbie, you're better off using 4x uniprocessor clients. They're easy to set up and they don't require that you monitor them much for problems. If you're shooting for a set-and-forget configuration, use this configuration. The SMP client is more difficult to set up, but pre...

Re: missing one of my processors

I highly doubt it. Windows updates do not touch the client.cfg file, which stores your Machine ID, in your client folder

Re: New team creation

For the logo, it requests the image URL. You can use any image hosting site and copy the link to that image into that text box.

Re: New team creation

Hello makedon3 and welcome to the forum To make a team, all you have to do is to visit the Create a Team page (http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/createteam.pl), which you can access from the Stats tab on the main folding website (http://folding.stanford.edu/English/Stats). There is nothing special...

Re: need help with FahMon i downloaded it

You need the folder of the executable. For example, I have an SMP client (a console client) running out of C:\fah . Therefore, I would put in the Location field "C:\fah" (without the quotes). If you copied the executable's own path (not the folder), you can just remove the executable name ...

Re: need help with FahMon i downloaded it

For the console version, you can point FahMon to the path of the folder containing the executable. All console clients store their work files with the executable.

Re: not getting accurate ppd

FahMon reports your theoretical PPD assuming that your computer is on 24/7 working on the same WU over and over again. The 3rd party stats report your real PPD based on what you turned in from the last 24 days or the entire week.

Re: please help i am using cpu client but i want the gpu client

You don't have to uninstall the CPU client. You can run the CPU and the GPU clients side-by-side because the GPU client does not use much CPU.

Re: maxFAH ( installer/manager/monitor for windows )

Well done MtM! I noticed that it reduces each console client to the system tray (correct me if I'm mistaken here, since I'm only guessing each feature from a few screenshots  ). That is a very good addition for a monitoring client since some of us want to conserve desktop and taskbar space (wit...

Re: New to Folding, a few questions.

Forgot to mention this: the p590x projects use a different core and do not appear to push the GPU that hard (not sure if that's really the case). That would explain your temperatures (I get lower temps on these work units). More info on the new core 14: viewtopic.php?f=52&t=8734 There have since...

Re: New to Folding, a few questions.

Yeah, you're just getting different-sized WUs. The the p5903's are larger and take more time, and are thus worth more.

Re: New to Folding, a few questions.

Could you post the contents of your log file (inside the tags)? Your GPU is probably working through work units from different projects.

Re: New to Folding, a few questions.

Hello radioattack and welcome to the forum. 1. Once work units are submitted, they stay permanently tied to your original username/team there. So unfortunately, you will not be able to receive credit for the work units you submitted as anon. 2. I don't know the answer, but I can tell you that we adv...

Your client is considered an older client.
