Re: Potentially offtopic: curecoins ?
With all the explained GPU power aimed at the project: is there something left for Joe Donor ? Today is already some perceived imbalance of WU for GPU with interesting PPD rates part of discussions. Well, I don't know about everyone else. I am donating their computation power, the points are just a...

Re: Potentially offtopic: curecoins ?
Hmm, if you don't consider the financial aspect of curecoin, it sounds like a "third-party cryptographically enhanced Folding@Home score exchange system". Although if you market curecoin in that way, nobody would actually want to play with curecoin. Is there an ETA for PG's official positi...

Re: Potentially offtopic: curecoins ?
CygnusXI, I think the idea behind curecoin is brilliant, but some hardcore folders treat folding very seriously, for example: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=25411&p=253960#p253958. So yeh, I think this whole thing is a very delicate matter, if it is not done correctly, a lot of people will get annoyed.

Re: Potentially offtopic: curecoins ?
I have friends who think that rather than running Folding@Home, I should be mining Litecoin, and donate part of the proceedings for charity. I have been folding for 7+ years now, so I am going to keep folding. The reality is that quite a lot of people I know are profit driven. I have always had hard...

Re: Teams in Folding@Home
Hmm, since points from the current team does not carry over to the new team, I think I am going to move to another team when I graduate from university / get a new laptop. I think changing a team would be a useful way to commemorate changes in my life. I am currently folding using some 4-year old ha...

Teams in Folding@Home
I have been folding for a team for the past 4 years. I am wondering if it is time for a change. How does everyone select their team? Is it worthwhile to change my team?

Re: Will Gromacs core be updated?
Thanks everyone. This is the version number that I was on about.
[15:35:10] Folding@Home Gromacs Core
[15:35:10] Version 1.90 (March 8, 2006)
The Gromacs's source doesn't seem to have a lot of changes over time. (http://www.gromacs.org/content/view/79/98/) I think the core is fairly new.

Will Gromacs core be updated?
The latest version of Gromacs from http://www.gromacs.org/ is 4.0, the one that FaH is using is 1.90. Will the core be updated any time soon? If not, why?
