Several of the core 21 projects are running in the general population so there is no flag that will prevent a rig from getting them.

Change your drivers to 346.96 that will alleviate a lot of the slowdown issues and you will get better performance from them. If you are OCed you may need to drop the OC a little or raise the v a little see how it runs first then adjust as needed.

Is he Overclocking ? What driver is he using ? Is the GPU getting hot ? can you provide more information. Most likely cause is a not 100% stable OC but there are other things that can cause the problem.
