Re: GPU server status 171.67.108.21, 171.64.65.71,171.67.108.26

I've now stopped all of my machines, had a look at another GPU project but gave up on that after an hour or so :) I'm suprised nobody from Admin or Staff has posted especially as the temperature in here has risen a few degrees in the last couple of hours.

Re: GPU server status 171.67.108.21, 171.64.65.71,171.67.108.26

QFix won't work on GPU units. In any case the results.dat file will get overwritten once you've cycled through 10 units (unless its in the queue) and that can happen very quickly if you get a run of small units. The server is clearly just accepting the first unit it gets back, the rest are being rej...

Re: GPU server status 171.67.108.21, 171.64.65.71,171.67.108.26

This needs to be sorted very quickly. I'm completing units and getting no credit because the server has already received the unit. I've seen this project go through some difficult times but this for me at least this is a disaster. With the umpteen CPU units waiting to be returned, some for over 2 w...

Re: GPU server status

Yeah, its starting to look like there's big trouble. I have 14 out of 14 GPU clients waiting to send units back, and that's without going into the CPU nightmare position I'm in right now.

Re: Why was I in team FTL?

Here's a link to a post on my team forum I made in 2004. Unfortunately some of the links in the thread go back to the defunct Folding Support Forum but The MacRumours link is still there and gives you an insight into the mind of a cheat. http://www.motherboards.org/forums/view ... at&start=0 Pete

Re: New Stats possible problem

Yes, I reported this a few days ago in another thread. I've no idea if this has been fixed yet, but here's my figures. The 50 day figure has dropped by one but the 7 day figure has spiraled up to 100 (It was an extremely optimistic 75 a few days ago :) ) In fact it's gone up 5 clients this morning. ...

Re: Why was I in team FTL?

FTL set up fah on unsuspecting computers via game cracks and pirated copies, not hacking anything... The passkey comes directly to your email and is like 30 characters... and is connected to your email address. Sure a hacker could put their passkey on your name, but your user and passkey related po...

Re: Why was I in team FTL?

I don't think they'll zero user total scores, only their illegal contributions. How can you tell which contributions are illegal? Just curious, but if a passkey signifies a legal contribution then is it possible for a hacker to integrate a passkey into one of these files that go to crack sites and ...

Re: Why was I in team FTL?

Or just someone else with the same user name? Yes, there are a lot of users and anyone can chose any name they want. I'm guessing here, but when FAH started up it only had a small number of users so they decided not to introduce passwords and unique user names which in time proved a poor decision. ...

Re: 171.64.65.71 accepting... but

I'm getting allocated to this server but I'm not getting work. The machines just sit there, no error messages or anything.... O.K, 40 minutes between attempts but still no work. Re: 171.64.65.60

At one stage I had 37 units waiting to upload. Over the days units were sent fairly frequently but more were gathered eventually though I reached a low of 8 units...yesterday this went up to 11, a few hours ago back up to 13. I'm confident that they'll all get uploaded at some stage, I think the dea...

Re: Is someone piggybacking my username?

My CPU figures are vastly inflated. I haven't done any reconfigs for maybe a year yet it says 135 CPU's in the last 50 days  If this is typical then I'd say the active total CPU count for the project is out by miles. I do have 120 listed in FAHSpy but I haven't used about 50 of them in 18 mon...

Re: 171.64.65.60 - Status Accept - Still Being Assigned

I've run into this too in the last few hours. Got multiple machines on 10th or more attempts to get work. Unfortunately, no matter what settings I change I'm still getting assigned to 171.64.65.60.

Re: Project 6318: Collection server misconfigured?

Server 171.64.65.60 was down for most of the night (Stanford time). It's just coming back now and it will take a while to accept the backlog. Yes, just sent one back, 34 more to go :) EDIT, Just got lucky with that one unit from the looks of it, multiple attempts every six hours and on completion o...
