Re: Trial run of mobile optimised theme - comments

Emoticons appear for me in posts? You do have to type them in manually when posting though.

Re: Trial run of mobile optimised theme - comments

I like it too. Lots of things not directly required for reading or posting on the forum are hidden away under popup menus. At first I thought there was no "new posts" link, but its actually under the search popup etc.

Trial run of mobile optimised theme

We've just activated a mobile optimised theme for the forum on a trial basis to gauge people's reactions/thoughts. If you are browsing on the desktop you will notice no difference, or if you have set your mobile browser to appear as a desktop browser. If you are using a mobile browser (on any of the...

Re: Folding Forum inaccessible

Clear your cache and run ipconfig /flushdns and that should resolve the problem.

Re: Folding Forum inaccessible

The info still shows ns1.sgded.com as a primary name server and I think that is still causing issues however. OpenDNS's servers can't reliably get SOA/CNAME/PTR records while my DNS can currently do so. I've fixed the SOA record now too, so I think everything in the DNS record is now correct (or le...

Re: Folding Forum inaccessible

Ok, there clearly is a problem going on here which I'll raise again with our hosting provider. The DNS record has the nameservers listed as host -t ns foldingforum.org foldingforum.org name server ns2.sgded.com. foldingforum.org name server ns1.sgded.com. However the nameservers are actually ns1.m20...

Re: Minimum timespan between posts?

The flood interval is 60 seconds as PantherX mentioned. I don't think it's been changed.

I've submitted a ticket with our hosting provider as it looks like a network issue.

Re: Registered bots?

They aren't actually registered users. The forum automatically classifies bots so we have more control over what they can and cannot see.

Re: Forum keeps logging me out

Its probably the do not track feature, yes. I suspect that it does something odd to cookies even when you leave it running (as opposed to simply deleting them when you close the browser), which means you probably get logged out every 3 hours or so, as I think that it the default forum timeout.

Re: Forum down-time

I've just fixed the routing table, and our hosts have fixed the other management related issues, so everything should be back to normal again.

Re: To long location entries in profile cause a broken layou

Not a completely satisfactory answer, but this only affects the subsilver theme, which is used by less than 1% of members.
