Re: Just to verify...
...for instance, the one im currently working on is reported as 1636 points, but then on the side, it shows it is 334 points. which one is it? meh, no biggie. Both  It looks like you're working on Project 11060. It's worth 334 points (Credit) and 1,636 is your points per day (PPD) as calcu...

Re: GPU client and desktop performance issues
The default location for the FAH client is the Program files directory and as long as you put the data somewhere else you won't have a problem. True, unless hiigaran is using the console client. hiigaran , what version of the client are you using? If it is the Console client, at this point I would ...

Re: GPU client and desktop performance issues
Last idea I have. Try creating a new directory (For example, C:\Users\[username]\FAH\GPU1), copy the entire contents of the current client (program files/FAH/GPU1?) and try to run it from there. For reference, the contents of the GPU client's folder should be similar to this. http://img821.imageshac...

Re: Zone Alarm Help Request
Cores do not need special firewall permissions (unless you run MPI). Clients do. Interestingly enough, core permissions turned out to be completely irrelevant running 6.34, at least on my machine w/MPI installed. This is what happened after I completely blocked A3 from all access, both local & ...

Re: GPU client and desktop performance issues
If you are using an edited shortcut to start the client, you could try running it as Administrator. (right-click the shortcut > select Run as administrator)

Re: GPU client and desktop performance issues
Looks like V6 Console client on Win7. ...i have one GPU folder for each client, and they are located in the same directory (program files/FAH/GPU1 and program files/FAH/GPU2), so thats not a problem either. Installing clients in Program Files is known to cause issues, as mentioned in the install gui...

Re: Zone Alarm Help Request
Since I was planning to dual boot from a different HDD anyway, I did a fresh install of 7 on the new drive. Installed Zone Alarm free edition, version 10.1.056.000 as well as AVG Free, version 2012.0.1873 No issues receiving/uploading finished work. [04:53:15] Completed 495000 out of 500000 steps (9...

Re: Zone Alarm Help Request
I've run at least 7 different folders using ZA free without issues. Currently have two that haven't been converted to linux - one XP and one Win7.
If I have time tomorrow, I'll try to bork one of them...

Re: Lets try folding again.
The last image clearly shows two tasks, one with 5 threads and the other with 12. The 5 threads is a uniprocessor client (4+1) and the 12 threads is -smp 8 (4+8). I'm with Bruce on V6 being the uni client. If the 'ghost' client is running as a service (or under a different user) you will have to se...

Re: Requesting proofreaders for F@h Wikipedia article
It would be a lot better if you could get a project that shows a description in the lower panel ( About Project ). It should be easy to capture one of the Alzheimer's projects with a uniprocessor client. That's about all they're getting right now. Fired up another machine to try and get one. 0 for ...

Ok, I now got a passkey, but if I enter the code, will the WU I´m doing atm reset? And will it already count? The passkey has no effect on the WU, just the QRB ( Q uick R eturn B onus). To qualify for QRB the same username/passkey combination must be present at both the start & finish of the WU...

Re: 130.237.232.141 and 130.237.232.237 offline
Looks like the folks over in Sweden are working on it. Just switched two SR2s back over to bigadv and both received work from 130.237.232.237 - although the status page does show it in standby, not accepting. Hopefully it all gets sorted soon.
