Re: WU's Not Being Assigned by 171.67.108.102/171.67.108.105
@ComputerGenie: You faced a different known issue: work server assigned you a work unit and the download starts but then hangs forever. Are you using FahClient 7.4.16 which tried to fix the issue but not 100%? Workaround is to restart the FahClient. Yes, using 7.4.16. I've got better things to do t...

You will need to post actual examples of the problem you are reporting since at this time you are the only one reporting problems... Which is why I started a new thread.... Re: WU's Not Being Assigned by 171.67.108.102/171.67.108.105
That is not what you posted, you asked if they were fixed so it was merged with the existing topic... No, no, no. Any news on when assignments to unresponsive/offline servers will cease ? Does not equal "is it fixed". Logic would dictate that if I created a separate topic and asked if the...

How about then someone shouldn't have merged my post. Because it's either not fixed or I have a separate issue.Joe_H wrote:How about 3 days ago. Posted several posts above your first post today by toTOW.ComputerGenie wrote:In the last 2 hours?foldy wrote:It's fixed

Re: WS 140.163.4.242 Failed to send results
...(All the AS are at Stanford, and if they're all off-line, this takes down the entire assignment process. My expectation is that the electrical crew will finish their work some time this afternoon and FAH services will come back on-line, one piece at a time. I'm glad you added that, because I hav...

Re: PPD VS, credit.
I have been folding for a while now. Since getting my 1070, I have been paying more attention to the log and such. So sometimes I get 570K PPD but the credit is 80K or 120K or so, then I get a work unit that is 470K PPD that takes 47 secs per iteration only giving 40K of credit. Is the 570K PPD onl...

Re: Project 10496 (158,16,66)
Ignore the clock speed of the CPU, it is a relatively meaningless measure of performance. The clock speed is only useful comparing processors from the same family. As a design that dates back nearly 5 years, the FX-8320 is probably fast enough in most cases, but its ability to transfer data between...

Re: Project 10496 (158,16,66)
The OpenCL driver for Linux is significantly different than the Windows OpenCL driver. Each GPU uses at most one CPU thread. Many projects do significantly better if you have a faster CPU ( Central Processing Unit). The GPU can't get data fast enough to stay busy ... And how much more does one need...

Re: Project 10496 (158,16,66)
...So my questions to everyone are (A) What GPU are you running and (B) What is the functional clock rate of the PCIe bus, and (C) have you allocated a full CPU thread to running FAHCore_21 on this project? (D) Are you running Window or Linux?... Rig 1: A 2x GeForce GTX 1080 B PCI 2.0 16X -- 5.0 GT...
