Re: Bigadv Collection and or Assighnment server is broken
I haven't heard anything back yet--I'll post more when I have more information. I'm glad some returns seem to be running successfully, but I'd like to track this down so I can be sure it's resolved (and so I can do my best to prevent it from happening again.)

Re: Bigadv Collection and or Assighnment server is broken
Yes--I see something weird going on. Nothing has changed with the work server, but I think some of the people at Stanford may have changed the assignment server without telling me. I'm investigating.

Re: Requesting permission to include FAH as Gentoo Linux pac
Thank you. It is correct that the EULA as it currently stands prohibits this. We are discussing the underlying issues and will get back to you.

128.143.199.97 brief outage
We had a power outage that knocked one of the arrays on 128.143.199.97 offline (the rest of the servers stayed up). We're restarting now and expect to have it back shortly.

Re: 171.64.65.54
The server is back up. I've asked the sysadmins for this server to check if there's a reason it went down again so quickly.

Re: 171.64.65.54
The machine is down, and I've put in a request to the sysadmins to reboot it. I agree that a good updated OS/X client and core would solve a lot of problems, and I'd love to see one. (My current time for code development is limited due to the fact that I'm running a research group and vastly oversub...

Re: 171.64.65.54
Hardware is back up, but one of the key files got corrupted--we keep *very* frequent backups and are restoring, but it requires manual intervention.

Re: Problem with 128.143.199.96
We had a power outage in one of our Virginia server rooms due to the East Coast storms. Those machines are now back online. Apologies for the interruption.

Re: Continuing problems with 130.237.232.237
Update: we found a single set of stats updates had not been processed correctly on June 5 for three servers: folding-2, vsp08f, and vspg9b. We are manually processing those now. For server .237, this includes a set of returns on the following work units (P,R,G,C; note the inversion of the last two e...

Re: Continuing problems with 130.237.232.237
There are different issues going on here. There was a stats problem on June 5 that we are investigating; the stats problem affected work units returned to this server but occurred on the stats server rather than on the work server. We will post more on that when we have more data and a resolution. T...
