Re: [Forum Suggestion Thread]
All the old links both outside and inside the forum should still work as I've set up a blanket redirect from http to https. In some cases the forum does this for you (like if you can only see viewtopic.php?xxxx in the post body) and will automatically populate the rest for you. If the whole URL is p...

Re: CAPTCHA
It looks like it is a repeat of this event: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=17216
Note, we are changing the challenge question to reduce the risk of an attack bot getting passed it as the current challenge is quite old (I'm surprised it has survived this long).

Re: 143.89.28.72 not issuing WU
Thanks for the report. It looks like the server is not externally accessible (i.e. neither responds to pings or to http requests) even though the server status page claims they are up. I'll send a report to the server owner (looks like all his servers are not responding). In the meantime your client...

Re: phpbb3 technical issues
View new posts does appear to be working "correctly" as far as the way it was designed to work. It is a list of posts made since you last visited (either logging in afresh, or, an interval since your session was last active).

Re: Forum software upgrade
Not sure what's causing the wonkiness. I tried changing another setting to fix the new posts issue but that didn't help apparently. I don't know what is causing the issue as I trialled a fresh install of the latest version of the forum software and the same issue still exists. I cannot see what is c...

Re: Forum software upgrade
Yes, I will try and fix it, when I have sufficient time to debug the issue.

Re: Forum software upgrade
That's possibly due to something I was testing earlier. I suspect everyone had to log in again at some point today as I wiped the session table in an attempt to fix the new posts problem.

Re: Forum software upgrade
Unfortunately that's not a fix for the problem we're having it would just cover a part of it up.

Re: Forum software upgrade
I think the precise issue is that the last forum visit isn't being tracked properly with sessions. I don't have my account set to "log me in automatically", so after a period of inactivity I have to log in again. What should be happening is that the last forum visit time is updated a long ...

Re: Forum software upgrade
Little update here: I know what the problem is (last visit time is not being tracked correctly) but I don't as yet know how to fix it. The only work around so far is to actually log off rather than just close your browser window.

Yep, this is definitely a bug, but unfortunately I won't be able to look at fixing it until Sunday at the earliest.

Re: PC freezes after installing new video card
The Uniprocessor Slot does exactly what the name implies. It uses one and only one of your multiple CPU cores, hence the 1 of 4 or 25% usage. To get up to 50%, I recommend going back to an SMP slot, but reducing the cores used setting from 4 to 2. This same thing was recommended a few posts back. A...

Re: Forum software upgrade
I've resynchronised some stats tables for the database, lets see if that has any effect.
