Re: F@H OS Stats

There are issues with opencl in MacOS which prevent F@H from working, until apple fixes it there is nothing that can be done.

Re: Question about Points?

Points are literally just points - its just a way of showing what your science is worth and how much you have done. Earning crypto is possible but i'm not sure how. I'd suggest googling curecoin and seeing if you have everything set up right. F@H doesn't support any crytpo currency so support on her...

Re: Folding Power: Medium Question

Hi

Some of teh load will also be caused by the 1070 that is also folding. If you want to measure it more accuratly pause the GPU slot and see what it drops to - also shut down anything else that may be running in the background

Re: Budget folding build

There will probably be something on one of the crypto forums, a quick google will help you there. Here's some more bits to help your thought process. I'm in the UK so prices are a bit higher here but it gives you an idea. 2nd hand lga1150 mobo - go for a brand name and mid range, you want decent pow...

Re: Gigabyte RTX 2060 Super Gaming OC

Ah, that would explain the difference. Try asking for a passkey again, the servers were hammered last weekend but it should be better now. If you had a passkey your PPD would be around 1.1m. You are still doing the same amount of science for the project though

Re: Estimated points drop rapidly after completion of work u

Ignore the estimated PPD in FAHControl, it assumes that you are folding constantly at full power and will rapidly drop if you are not running a Work unit. If you look in the log you will a line in the log that will let you know how many points you should receive for that WU, but it assumes that your...

Re: Still can’t get new work units

The situation is much better than it has been over the last few days, the servers are currently servicing over 72k requests for work per hour and that keeps on going up.

GPU TFlops are not the same as x86 Tflops, hence the conversion

Re: Quadro 5000 GPU's

That would depend on which quadro 5000 they were, Fermi.Kepler, Maxwell, Pascal or RTX? The model usually goes P5000 for example which would indicate a pascal based quadro 5000 which is a powerful card, a Kepler based 5000 - not so much.

Re: Recently

There are now plenty of work units for everyone to work on, the remaining issue is assigning them out to all the users quickly enough. The servers are currently issuing 68k requests an hour, which is a massive improvement but the team are working hard to bring more servers opnline

Post the first 200 lines of the log and we can check to see if its a config issue but it sounds like you are in the logjam of WU requests

Re: Wuhan Corona Virus

The servers are currently serving 60k requests an hour, thast climbed from 54k a few hours ago so things are getting better, work is slower getting easier to come by

Re: 2 out of 3 Compute devices are stuck on ready

Hi

The servers that are handling the issuing of work units are very heavily loaded. New servers are in the process of being brought online but its taking time. The situation is a lot better than it was a couple of days ago so please be patient.
