Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)

Replace that drive. Hard drives are very inexpensive these days. You could probably double or triple your capacity for next nothing after a quick look on Craigslist.

And for goodness sake, please update your XP installation to SP3 (after you have more available space). :)

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)

FahMon 2.3.99.1 is messing up client names.
Yes, big time.

Re: Something seemingly serious wrong with receiving credit

The problem seems to have resolved itself. I wrote 'resolved itself' as I do not know the cause of the resolution or the cause of the original problem. The amount of credit awarded for the completed units is now very close to the estimated production - both effective and 'last frame' calculation - a...

Re: Something seemingly serious wrong with receiving credit

Monitoring: I've been using the last frame method in FAHMon for a year, so my measuring methodology is a constant, and not a variable. I will though, try a different monitoring means, just in case something strange is going on. I'm monitoring the 'farm' on two different computers. I have now set one...

Something seemingly serious wrong with receiving credit

Let me preface this by saying this is not a whine or blame thread. I am merely looking for a solution. Problem: daily credited points is about 10,000 less than what it apparently should be, as measured by FAHMon Considerations: I've been folding since the beginning. Currently I'm running a total 20 ...

OK, my ego is now sufficiently massaged. I can quite work and go home for the weekend.

Re: Hello

He doesn't need to start upgrading even before he dips his toes into Folding. I agree with you that a number of upgrades would make his computer more zippy, but right now he wants to set up Folding. In my opinion (sometimes humble, sometimes not) he should download and install the Uniprocessor with ...

Re: Hello

Spazzychalk, thanks. Good advice. I think he will be ok though, with the "Uniprocessor" client. It doesn't have high demands like SMP. Incognito, consider downloading and installing a temperature monitor. Folding makes the CPU (processor) run at nearly 100%, which will really heat it up. M...

Re: Project: 5759 (Run 4, Clone 257, Gen 22)

Good point - old crud not being completely removed. I just know that in seven years of Folding Windows clients - everything under the sun, I've never used the -local client, not once. Maybe I've just been lucky.

Re: Project: 5759 (Run 4, Clone 257, Gen 22)

-local flag being useless in the new clients (v6) fact You may have a corrupted core, as in software core - not the GPU. :) Go into the Folding folder and delete the core. When FAH restarts, it will automatically download a fresh core. If you have the same problems in a subsequent 5759 but not othe...
