Re: Selecting 'Diabetes' leads to no new work

A change has been made to the AS software .... can you please try again to see if it works properly now?

Re: Selecting 'Diabetes' leads to no new work

When you change a preference it's best to restart the client. Easy way ... reboot. p.s. diabetes is not in the supported cause list for v7 ... if you're using v8 it's probably, as toTOW already said, a bug and should be reported but Pakinson's is supported in v7 ... I use "Any" Reported to...

Re: Trouble getting workunits

One more suggestion:

SInce you're using the beta v8 make sure it's the .18 version as earlier versions had some problems including in the comm area.

Re: Trouble getting workunits

FYI, the problems you posted about in this and your other thread might indicate a wrong setting in your router .... I've had similar problems in the past where that turned out to be the situation. If you can remember any change you might have made to those settings around the time your problems star...

FYI, I'm not seeing any of the problems mentioned in this thread.

Have you tried clearing your browser cache?

Re: Upload to 140.163.4.200 and .210 failing repeatedly

It sounds like your VPN was not set up properly in fahcontrol when you tried 7.6.21 and since I know nothing about VPN software I can't help .... I think I've seen examples on the forum related to how they were set up but that was a long time ago so you may have to do some searching. Perhaps someone...

Re: Project 18448 issue

The following is just an fyi and may not apply to you but I'm including it here in case it's applicable. I saw that you posted you have 32 GB of ram and some might say that's plenty ... I don't need a pagesys. I've seen some of the new projects use around 20 GB for the core alone and I've seen them ...

Re: Project 18448 issue

It is 'normal' for the core to restart after an error .... it will try up to 3 times before giving up and moving on.

btw client-type=advanced is defunct and hasn't been valid for some time .... the only valid client-type is beta and that is only used by folders who have joined the beta team.

Re: Project 14955 PPD

Unfortunately, the columns "Returned" & "Credited" have their data switched so the actual return time was 2:50. The bug has been reported and although it may appear to be a very simple fix(at least just switch the headings), development does not seem to consider it important ...

Re: 18717 Is Super Slow & Low PPD

Sorry, but I'm not familiar with "delay for computing" but I can tell you that a 16GB swap file/partition is not enough .... my current 18717 is showing a virt memory usage of over 17GB. Also what o/s are you using? The reason I ask is that ubuntu no longer uses a swap partition.... it use...

Re: 18717 Is Super Slow & Low PPD

FYI P18717 uses a lot of memory(~18GB), especially at the beginning during initialization. Ensure you have a pagesys file (or swap in linux) of at least 24GB. Otherwise slow or failure is what you're going to get. I have one running now where the swap file is 24GB and it is neither slow nor is it ge...

Re: Project 16575 Chrushing GPU 18hrs low points

Okay, it looks like the opencl issue is looking better now. When looking at the PPD estimate on FAHControl don't bother looking until the percentage is at least 3% as the software may not have enough info to give an accurate prediction before then. GL and feel free to post your questions .... rememb...
