Re: PPD Database - HFM exports needed

Pretty sure the general idea for this was... to get a general idea. take the data from a spectrum of situations, and give an idea where you expect to be. Things as subtle as the brand of case fan will adjust the PPD of an air-cooled GFX card..... why worry about that point? Yep, I am pretty happy w...

Re: PPD Database - HFM exports needed

I would say that there is nothing clear at all, even with larger sample sizes. No indication of hw and electricity costs and power consumption. Even then, how to define and measure power consumption correctly? - using TDP is useless - power consumption varies over following factors: PT, PL, OC, UV ...

Ah, that changes things. So my prediction is more or less correct... until we have a larger sample set :D

Re: PPD Database - HFM exports needed

Submitted some 2060 KO data. It's looking pretty good! I wish I had a regular 2060 to compare it against as it has the same shading unit count, but is actually a binned TU104, not the normal TU106. @skydivingcatfan very interesting chart! Not the results I was expecting; I thought the 2070 Super wou...

Re: PPD Database - HFM exports needed

My 2060 KO is finally out of shipping limbo and actually looks like it is headed to my house so in another week there will be some data for that GPU Just got mine and will be installing it this weekend. It will be interesting to compare results; I am curious to see how consistent these things are c...

Re: Scoring more on older hardware ?

1060 has peak 4.375 TFLOPS FP32 performance,
780 Ti has peak 5.345 TFLOPS FP32 performance.

FP32 performance is the most important metric for FAH.

Tool to compare PPD performance by project

Using the HFM database maintained by foldinghomealone viewtopic.php?f=38&t=34510, I created a frontend with Google Sheets that allows the comparison of PPD performance across projects. It filters for processors, that we have data on, that are common between the two selections and graphs their av...

Re: PPD Database - HFM exports needed

Any chance you could ad the standard deviation? (if it's not too much work...) Believe it or not, I have been struggling with this because Google Query Language (which I used to process the data) does not have a standard deviation function... I could still do it, but I don't have time to figure it ...

Re: Top GPUs for Folding@Home

I would also really love something like a splunk agent, where I set it up on my client PC and it just uploads the logs to the central repository as soon as they are generated - no user interaction required after initial install. We all would. The issue is that we are a couple of non-programmer volu...

I made graphs of the average PPD per processor for other visual people. (they may clip on some monitors, click to open in a new window)

Will put her in a system for a couple of days, so we can get some data...
How much did you wind up spending? I predict the 2070 Super is the highest PPD per dollar card available.

I'm doing my best to steal them all, but my 1660 Ti can only do so much!
