Re: Taxes
Last year as I was about to file my 2014 return, I checked with my tax accountant/attorney to see if it was possible to deduct any portion of the expense associated with running FAH. The conclusion on the hardware purchased was "No" with several reasons given, mostly having to do with the ...

Re: Failed to connect to 171.64.65.104:80
I'm having the same problem as Simplex0: My rigs are correctly downloading, folding and uploading new p92xx assignments. However, the old p92xx work units completed before the server mishap still will not upload. They are stuck getting the same "PLEASE_WAIT (464)" error message on failed u...

Re: Low PPD on project 13111
There isn't enough data in the small section of the log you provided for WU00:FS01 to calculate the frame time for p13111. The only reference to the frame time is "15:29:28:WU00:FS01:0x21:Completed 0 out of 520000 steps (0%)" and you'd need to post the time to get to the next % completion,...

Re: Failed to connect to 171.64.65.104:80
I now have 6 rigs unable to connect to the proper collection server. The collection server each of my rigs are supposed to connect to has a Status of "full" and a Connect condition of "reject". All of these are big work units, with points between 150,000 and 175,000 each. Jadeshi...

Re: Stats not updating yet again
Can't the Server Status web page pull JSON or XML status updates from any IP address it's configured to communicate with? Maybe I'm oversimplifying, but just add the Stats Server as a record (row) in the database that generates the web page. For example, the field headings would be: Server IP: "...

Re: Stats not updating yet again
Could someone please check the stats server? Date and time of last work unit submitted was recorded on 2016-07-11 20:05:39.
Is the stats server status listed on this page - and if not, should it? http://fah-web.stanford.edu/pybeta/serverstat.html

Re: Nvidia Pascal GPU cards???
toTOW has a good point. Installed a 1080 last week and the PPD fluctuates mostly around a 980ti performance (little better, little worse) and occasionally is no better than my 50 MHz overclocked 980s. The 1080 has not beat my Titan X rigs with a mild (50 to 75 MHz) overclock on any project I can ide...

Re: One Router, Two ISPs
The PC running FAH Control (and HFM, VNC and other tools on a 28" 4K display so it all fits on one) monitors 7 rigs in one location and 7 in another physically separate location (appx 8 miles away) over the internet. I have tagged an identifying prefix to the FAH Control Client Names so I know ...

One Router, Two ISPs
I've been searching for a router that would allow my systems to use a backup ISP if my main Internet connection went down. I've got two ISPs, Time Warner Cable (100mb down/10mb up) and ATT Uverse (24mb down/2mb up). In what averages about once every couple of months, one or the other ISP service wil...

Re: Nvidia Pascal GPU cards???
All 2011 and 2011-v3 motherboards have CPUs supporting 40 PCIe lanes. Configurations are generally 16/16/8. I also have one remaining AMD system using an FX-8350 with exactly the motherboard you mention, and on Titan X or 980ti Nvidia GPUs, it performs at best at 85% of the PPD of a 2011 based Intel...

Re: Nvidia Pascal GPU cards???
@ FldngForGrandparents Of course, we can speculate all day long about 1080 performance, but if history is any guide, the performance of a high-powered GPU is curtailed when limited by a 4x PCIe bus, never mind a 1x PCIe bus. You may want to wait before you commit to purchasing more than two 1080 GPU...

Re: FAHBench 2.2
There are several options available when running FAHBench. What options should we use that have the most relevance? For example: * Assuming GPU and OpenCL and Single Precision - Would you want to see the results from all three work units? - Should Accuracy Check be enabled? - For NaN check: Is "...
