Re: FAH won't run correctly as a 'standard' user on Win10 (F

FAH runs in the user space of the person who installed it. If you want to log on as the administrator and leave it logged on 24x7 so it will fold, that's your choice. that's not more secure. because the keyboard is still accessible when you're not in front of it. If you want to run FAH from a user ...

Re: Reinstalling FAH client every time I reboot. Please advi

I recommend you reinstall WITHOUT using the Admin account. Start installing from whatever account will be logged on most of the time. When the installer gets to the point that it needs admin privileges it will ask for your Admin password but the rest of the process needs to be done as an ordinary W...

Re: My main folding account seems to have been deleted

Are these your stats:
https://folding.extremeoverclocking.com ... =&u=729353

The official stats pages are barely fit for purpose and have taken a back seat in development. Numbers rarely add up and different intervals for processing and caching make them unreliable.

Except that's not true and it still won't work.

The working files will go in the admins private user area.

Hence this thread and the workarounds listed at the beginning.

Re: FahCore_2 needlessly wasting CPU cycles.

Please note that unfortunately, the CPU usage of FahCore_22 is caused by the implementation of Nvidia's OpenCL implementation. The implementation uses spin-wait (polling) and will always use 1 CPU for that. I would suggest that you can pass your feedback to the Nvidia developers so that they can up...

Only a guess, but what's the time zone settings on the remote Folder_00 and your local client? Could the client be out by an hour resulting in a messed up bonus calculation? You guessed correctly! Well almost. The time zone setting of the Advanced Control is always UTC (I don't think you can change...

Re: FahCore_2 needlessly wasting CPU cycles.

Interesting. I tried this just now. Limiting the running fahcore_22 process to 50% took my TPF from 1:15 to 1:42. I have turned off BES. You're running some serious GPUs so I'd imagine any slowdown in the polling will hit them more. The OP has listed a GT 630, so maybe 50 times less powerful - it w...

Re: Fireside Chat Suggestions

How about reducing the need for work servers at all - They will need to spin up all the projects / runs / clones but how much is done by the server when the next gen is created? Could that be delegated to the client? We've all seen cases where we upload a WU and 2 seconds later get assigned the next...

Re: Uninstall over Win Program and feat. deletes user docume

Yes, this is quite a serious bug with the installer / uninstaller I once chose my app data directory to install to and that became the data directory. Ideally the installer should automatically append another directory depth to selected folder/fahclient When you uninstall, it just blats the entire c...

Re: 40.114.52.201 & 128.252.203.10 - Stuck, Not Refreshing

Not seen too many posts on 40.114.52.201 but it's being particularly troublesome for me with multiple failed uploads. On some machines it will build up a backlog of 6 failed to send (hung at 99 odd percent) such that other client connections will no longer be possible. A restart will often see some ...

Re: Stats of my different machines?

Easiest option is different user names and/or passkeys to track the clients separately. Alternatively, HFM.net ( https://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=9903 ) is a nice to tool to monitor and track all your clients. It maintains a database of all WUs completed by all of the connected clie...

Re: Is it possible to have multiple accounts & passkeys?

That way, you can query by the passkey and get a cumulative total, or each username separately and track clients separately that way. I assume that even if a client is configured with a username, team, and passkey, if i were to use a generic username, when querying the username, it would return the...
