Yes, and no. It is possible to edit the INF file to make it work. Mentioned in this thread somewhere.

Read the Blog. Successes are also documented on the Papers page of the FAH web site, linked above.

Re: Can Folding@home be added as a BOINC project?

In my view, BOINC was designed with the "lowest common denominator" in mind, to work with as many types of projects as possible, not really specialized for performance. One size fits as many as we can. On the other hand, FAH hasn't been saddled with those kinds of restraints, having launch...

Additional data validation costs running 2 sets of code as well, making sure NV and AMD return the same results.

Re: DEDICATED...

#1, same as foldy.
#2 Yes, same as foldy, and an update installed by Windows may later be needed by a newer version of the FAH client at some future point. .Net as example.

Re: Nvidia hotfix driver 376.48 that fix folding

Elsewhere it has been said that:- But Folders are noticing a 100K-300K drop in Folding points per card with these drivers. thats because theres a bug in the fah_core that needs resolving, the nvidia side fix was a work around that reduces performance. Because the points curve is so steep in the fas...

Re: B85M-E/CSM for 2 GPUs?

There were reports a pcie 2.0 x4 slot could limit the bus usage on Windows but not on Linux for a fast GPU and so you could loose e.g. 20% performance but it is still worth it. I doubt there is much difference between the OS types. And I ran a GTX 760 in an x16 2.0 slot (x1 electrically) and only l...

Re: question about vega

In other words, shader speed and count are the gating factors (bottle-neck) for FAH performance, so memory speed has little impact on performance, as noted above.

Re: intel Iris 6200

Research is their first priority, development falls below that, so they tend to focus on the lowest hanging and largest fruit on the performance tree. They have to ignore the fruit that has been sitting on the ground for too long as well. 15+ years of watching how the project functions gives bruce v...

Progress is progress. Not folding at all, and now folding is progress. I don't think anyone will mistake a hotfix driver for a WHQL driver. ;)

Re: WARNING ! Do not upgrade to 375/376.xx drivers.

Just in case anybody was interested, they have released a hotfix driver which apparently has the workaround fix for F@H until the guys here can fix the bug it "apparently" exposed by the newer drivers. You can grab it here: http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4288 So far so...
