What driver version are you using?
Give a little info about the system your running this on.

Re: Programs dont work out of the box for Linux
Same problem I ran into, once the check mark is removed on 1st install it never reappears when doing a reinstall or freash install. Once you have config the V7 with user name and other info that screen also never reappears, no matter how many times you uninstall v7 and reinstall. This is not a prob...

Re: Is it possible to 'restrict' the size of WUs?
What is the system you are folding on, and do you fold continuously? Also, which projects do you get that take the longer periods of time. Possibly some projects could have their minimum SMP number increased if this points to a general problem. But the largest WU's I normally get on my Core 2 Duo M...

Re: Is it possible to 'restrict' the size of WUs?
Project 8703 is one the core count could be moved up taking 5 days to complete on a Core 2 Duo @ 2.0Ghz @ over 50 mins TPF. Laptop folds only 24/7 BTW there is a option in V7 to pick the type of WU, say Cancer, Alzheimer, Huntington or Parkinson under the Advanced tab. Not sure that would help much ...

Re: Unknown Credit on WU 10503
Perfect. Thank you. N0OA If you would like to see the PPD and base point of those WU's you could use the 3rd party software HFM.Net and add a V7 client to HFM program. As stated the server don't have the code in place for the V7 software to give those numbers or the core type, but HFM does. http://...

Re: Happy dance...
Looking at work units completed 141,092 doesn't seem like a lot vs a 10 year effort on my part.

Re: Happy dance...
I remember some of those days Bruce, back then "2002/03" if you did 100 points in a month "not 100k" you were one of the Top Dogs back then on whatever team you were folding for. :D I can remember breaking the 1,000 point month barrier and really thought I had done someth...

Re: Programs dont work out of the box for Linux
I still want to figure out why the service isn't working. I think that's the more important issue, since it's how F@h is supposed to work by default. Spawning FAHClient isn't that great of a workaround for the general population. In the old version of V7 7.2.9 under preference it had a way to do th...

Re: Programs dont work out of the box for Linux
I noticed from your log post you don't have a passkey?
Just goes to show you not even the people that supposely run FAH know enough about there own software. lol
Good to see you got it working, sorry I wasn't more clear on what I was trying to tell you earlier.

Re: Programs dont work out of the box for Linux
I fired up my dedicated Ubuntu 13.04 64 bit Dell Latitude D430 and entered the same commands... scott@scott-Latitude-D430:~$ ls -l /var/lib/fahclient total 0 scott@scott-Latitude-D430:~$ sudo /etc/init.d/FAHClient start [sudo] password for scott: Starting fahclient ... Re: Programs dont work out of the box for Linux
Here is a post I had made for someone else that might be of some help. It has pictures of each step and how it looks when using the terminal. http://www.evga.com/forums/fb.ashx?m=1943623 I have mine set to pause on start and is why it doesn't start folding as soon as the command is excuted in termin...

Re: Programs dont work out of the box for Linux
Heck, to be honest, I now am thinking I did leave the 'auto start' box checked in both my installs on Mint 15, and Ubuntu 13.04... I know I did for sure on my Ubuntu laptop install, and now on this Mint desktop too, after the purge, and reinstall. Hope we figure it out. :) Well once it has been unc...

Re: Programs dont work out of the box for Linux
See my post at EVGA for ways to get you folding. http://www.evga.com/forums/fb.ashx?m=1952862 If FAHClient is install all you should have to do is open a terminal and type just as seen FAHClient then press enter. Those letter has to be in caps just as I have posted it or it will not start and will ...
