I noticed the OP on this thread talked about having a Sony Xperia Z1 smartphone and wanted to have it run while it charged during the night. Coincidentally, Prof. Pande posted on the blog that Sony smartphones will now have an app in the Google Play store that will allow folding to run while charging and at full battery, and can run from midnight to when the user wakes up. Perhaps a new subforum could be created for mobile folding here if this catches on.

I currently have A Sony Xperia Z3v. I would love to contribute to folding at home, however the starting parameters insist the phone be "plugged in" to charge. I have a charging plate, and while it is charging, folding at home won't allow this alternate source for charging. Please change the permissions for folding at home. I would still like to contribute while on a charging plate.
