Ansible Playbook to Install FAHClient

Post by ajacocks »

All,

I'm new here, but have been aware of the project, for a long time. In light of recent events, I decided to target my lab, consisting of a number of dual-socket Xeon v2 and v3 servers, and some GPUs, towards protein folding.

To accomplish this, I wrote an Ansible playbook that will install FAHClient on Red Hat Enterprise Linux/CentOS/Fedora/Ubuntu hosts. The repository is (I can't post links yet!) on GitHub, under my user 'ajacocks', in the repo 'fah'.

I'll work on more operating systems, if folks want. Please let me know if you try it out, and you experiences with it.

Thanks!

Just wanted to note that the playbook has been updated to automatically use GPUs, if available. Also, better support for CentOS has been added.

Please let me know if you try it out.

Welcome to the F@H Forum ajacocks,

Please note that if you do not own the hardware used for folding, you will need permission (generally written) from the person who owns the hardware as per the EULA.

When I say “my lab”, I mean the one in my house. So, definitely self-owned.
