Connection issues

I tried to use http://fahmm.net/faq.html, and I had to quit and re-open fahclient. Now it continually says Connecting Inactive. Is it having trouble connecting to the overloaded servers?

Put 127.0.0.1 back into the HTTP Server section. It should also be a whiltelisted IP address so that the Web Control or FAHControl programs can connect to the FAHClient on the same computer.

Did you change the port intentionally, the default port is 36330, and the log shows it set to 36329.

No, I didn't touch the port when I was setting up FAHMM and I made sure it was 36330
I rechecked my log and here is what I got

Can you tel me how to change it back as in advanced control, in configure it says the port is 36330? I did check config.xml and the port is 36329, but it opens in a web browser. Wait, would it work if I opened it with notepad++?

You may need to reboot to restart the client process and have it reread the config.xml file. Notepad++ should be okay as long as it save the files in the same format including line endings. Used too many different editors to remember which cause problems by changing the format on a save, the file might look right by sight, but not be readable by the software.

As for changing the port number, it is possible to do it accidentally. It is set in a small window with up/down arrows to change the number, so you could have accidentally clicked the down one.

Sorry for not getting back! I did some research and did use notepad++ to fix the port and HTML address, and deleted config.xml, which solved the problem and it started folding. But man have I been having problems since joining F@H. Probably because I'm really young and really curious about stuff? :lol: :ewink:
