(Solved)Windows: Advanced control won't start CxFreeze error

fahclient, web control and advanced control were working fine for me yesterday. Today, trying to run Advanced Control gets me:

I am running Windows 10 with the built-in Windows firewall. fahclient is allowed through the firewall and I see nothing in the firewall logs. The client is running and working on two WUs as I type (according to the web control). Suggestions welcomed.

I forgot the standard engineer's response to problems - "Turn it off and on again"

A reboot cleared up the problem.
